Bill Mitchell @mitchellvii YouTube just banned Stefan Molyneux.
A million followers.
Hundreds of millions of views.
No warning given.
Gone.
WHEN will Congress do something about this?
YouTube, like CNN, is subsidized to the point that no amount of boycotting on the part of conservatives would make a dent in its bottom line.
And even if it did, the operators are willing to take the hit in order to advance the cause.
Conservatives want to talk about issues. Leftists use issues to drive the revolution.
Guess who wins in that confrontation?
But nobody, except Jim makes a living from FR. Thus, there is not tangible harm from being zotted without warning. Indeed, FR republic supports a variety of viewpoints. YouTube was Stephan Ms income source. There is a huge difference in a forum where you dont receive income and a platform for your business. Especially since the creators own the content they place on YouTube. By not allowing him access they are stealing. Posting here is not even lose to comparable.
Shellenberger is still a “believer”, but no longer an alarmist. too much for Forbes to handle:

I wonder if the death keel was his two hour in-depth documentary on the liberal re-write/slander of Joe McCarthy. Those who did not see it missed a historical masterpiece.
Congress did that to allow platforms to delete obscene material, mainly pornography. Are you really seeking to undo that - and force websites to allow porn? How conservative of you.
Wow. Nice straw man you built there.
No one removed Molyneux from the internet. There are thousands of places he can host his videos.
YouTube just decided they didn't want him spreading racist stuff on their platform.
Because the Left decided "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em", with the ultimate goal of creating the ultimate corporation, merged with the Government, to do their bidding.
It's not a straw man, controlling pornography is literally the reason Congress passed the law in the first place. Look it up. If you're going to prevent websites from moderating content, things are going to get very wild very quickly.
If someone finds out what platform he may have migrated to, please let us know.
Did he have a contract? Did YouTube violate the contract? If that's the issue, then this is a simple question of contract law. Stephan M can sue them and if they breached his contract he'll win. If there isn't a breach but he's just whining that they should *have* to do business with him for a some reason, then he's just a pathetic loser. Nobody has to do business with anybody.
And he ought to be damned grateful YouTube let him use their platform for free for as long as they did.
How many billions do you think they've invested in their technology?
Do you think Stefan has a right to use it for his benefit?
These people are not trolls. Stefan is not a troll.
What kind of racist stuff was he spreading?
If I and others quit selling it how is anyone going to buy it.
If you want to stay in the market governed by and limited by the Federal Government why are you here.
Wear your chains lightly, cuck.
The point is Jim R. can zot anyone he wants on FR - this is his website. He owns it. He makes the rules. YouTube has the same power on their website. If you think it's government's job to tell Jim Robinson who he can and cannot zot on his own website because, uh, fairness or something, I don't know what that is, but that's not conservatism.
We will Constitutionally become mute before October with no presence on social media and most of the servers hosting conservative sites being disabled. With mail-in voting becoming the rule in states with Democrat governors and Republican Trump majorities and the Democrat ruled cities manufacturing millions of votes in almost every state and with nothing being heard from Republicans at all Trump could well “lose” 49 states.
Who is Stefan Molyneux?
Since The Web giants, the equivalent of ATT and the 3 TV networks decided to become censors.
