This is one of those articles that the paper hopes that people don’t read and only pay attention to the headline.
Otherwise they look extremely stupid.
They are also sanctuary cities.
Technically, Knoxville TN’s mayor is “independent,” but she’s a Democrat - a number of cities elect mayors on an officially non-partisan ballot.
San Antonio and Las Vegas vote Democrat for other offices, including President, so I suspect it’s that way too.
Trump carried Greene and Christian Counties - not sure about the city of Springfield though.

The worst cities are all democrat. Trump is right. It’s about where you draw the line. If you go for 10 cities, they’re all democrat. 20, two independent and one Republican. Doesn’t the post realize that they’re actually supporting what Trump said?

Not really, it has to do with buying into the democrat/socialist/communist ideology of being entitled to something and feeling justified in using any means to get it.
We saw that historically with the confederacy's entitlement to slave labor, and with the kkk's entitlement to special privileges for whites. Both felt justified in using violence to get and keep what they thought they were entitled to.
We've also seen this with the slaughter of millions as a result of socialism and communism, again for the entitlement to something, in these cases of having a government that provides for you at the expense of everyone else.
Not to mention the millions of innocent babies who have been murdered before they were born for the entitlement of having free sex without accepting responsibility for the consequences.
What's going in in predominantly black and brown cities is only the latest, but not only, manifestation of this.
