David Lee Roth has changed his name.
The former Van Halen front man now wants to be called “David L. Roth” or “El Roth.”
The change was inspired by the current movement in the music industry to disown words having to do with the slavery that existed in the South — which comes in response to the Black Lives Matter protests that rose up after the death of George Floyd

Agreed. I saw him once in concert on a solo tour in a small club. As I mentioned yesterday in the Hagar thread, Roth was funnier than most stand-up comics. Granted, it is easily to say “The 80s are calling” but Roth doesn’t appear to be the type of person who would be a follower. Only time will tell (that is an Asia song; you must remember that one!)”

Just when you think there couldn’t be anything left out there that would make you roll your eyeballs to the back of your head, here comes this.
Does this guy know that President Martin VAN Buren was a slave owner? Is he gonna change the bond’s name to ‘V. Halen’? Or just ‘Halen’?
I think this is his attempt at mocking PC current events with his decision.
