Well water cannons do have the added advantage of cleansing the streets of effluvia at the same time as dispersing the crowds.

And turning off the electricity and water somehow is not working? Arresting those existing and preventing anyone from re-entering is also not working?

Cut off water and power, cut off cell sites, surround the perimeter, and wait.

KOMO TV said the protestors moved out last night...This sounds like old news. As far as I see the city is cleaning up the garbage.

"We're no longer allowed to use things like tear gas and pepper spray. The only thing that we can use is our sidearms or our batons," the officer said. "...And we lose if we use force, it's gonna look ugly." I smell a setup.

Since officers can't use pepper spray or tear gas to force people to disperse, some officers say their only course of action could be batons and firearms. What genius came up with these rules of engagement?
To: Libloather
Water cannons.
I’m pretty sure that spraying water will trigger memories of fire hoses in Selma. So they can’t be used.

Some Seattle police officers are concerned that disbanding the autonomous zone being occupied by protesters could turn violent. This comment should be attributed to "Captain Obvious"!

Rat rules for the police:
1. Leave firearms at home or in your vehicle.
2. Acquire new uniform, which includes the market researched fuzzy bunny slippers.
3. You are only allowed to strike back if you receive a flesh wound. Ni!
4. If these misunderstood protesters are set for a siege, please ask nicely, with a cherry on top, for them to leave.
4. The 'misunderstoods' must arrest themselves. You racist, misogynistic, homophobic pigs can not touch these lovely people. Pick up the new softer and kinder handcuffs for out saints on the streets.
5. If this fails, run away.

The “protest” served its purpose but has been affecting them poorly in the polls so they decided to shut it down. How? They just reached out the organizations that were paying them to riot and told them to move on to the next target.

Fire hoses. Lots of fire hoses. And hippie-eating police dogs. And Oak Shampoo. Lots of it. Frankly, just bring in The Scoops.
