Hours after it was announced that what was thought to be a noose was a garage door pull and no hate crime was directed at Bubba Wallace at Talladega Superspeedway, Richard Petty Motorsports reacted the investigation.
“On Sunday, June 21, members of Richard Petty Motorsports discovered a rope tied in fashion of a noose in the garage stall assigned to the team at the Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway,” the statement said. “In accordance with established protocols, our team member notified the crew chief who notified NASCAR of the presence of the item in the garage stall. NASCAR leadership determined the course of action going forward with an immediate investigation into the item and its possible origins. In the early stages of the investigation, NASCAR’s Steve Phelps notified Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr., of the information gathered and the presence of the item in the garage stall of his team.
“Richard Petty Motorsports fully cooperated with NASCAR and authorities as they conducted an investigation into the situation. As a result of further investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), it was found that the item was not directed towards Wallace or members of the team. No member of Richard Petty Motorsports nor Wallace had any involvement with the presence of the rope.
“We are thankful for the swift and thorough investigation by NASCAR and all of the authorities involved. We are also appreciative of the support from NASCAR, the motorsports industry, and our fans."

Looks like a LOT of people who had already gotten used to life with no nascar will NOT be returning.

He was on with don the lemon and basically said “yes it WAS SO a noose” right after he said “I never saw it myself.”
Now if he gets in a crash, people will call it racist. I wonder how the drivers will react.
Also, he is 0 for 189 starts in nascar. Ironic he is the kaperdink of nascar.
I hate it for The King that such an iconic brand he created with the number 43 has been tarnished by the bigotry of his young, immature driver, Bubba.
I have not seen an interview of the prior occupant of stall number 4. Wouldn’t that clear up who tied the rope, how, and why?

Thus, someone (it states “a member” - so not someone ignorant) DELIBERATELY TURNED IT TO SOMETHING IT’S NOT.

I realize Negroes were sometimes lynched many years ago, but a lot of WHITE men have been HANGED (some lynched)!

Even so, a noose that doesn’t/hasn’t “lynched” anyone is just a fashioned ROPE! (or extension cord!).
STOP teaching your children about slavery. It’s not coming back.

STOP running from the police. I was taught to be courteous to the police and answer all their questions with “yes sir” or “no sir”.

The Jussie Smollett story is another good example where many expressed little to no skepticism.
