I thought the interviews he did were *before* the FBI statement was released. Is he STILL doubling down that they weren’t door pulls despite all the evidence to the contrary? If he’s sticking with this, I’m done with him. I’ve been a Richard Petty fan my entire life, since I was a kid and the King was still racing and winning, but no more.

The sad part is, no matter how much of a fool Wallace makes of himself at this point, no sponsors will drop him the way Blue Emu did after his little tantrum in one of the virtual iRacing sim races the pro drivers did (Wallace ragequit partway through). And Petty, God bless him, probably either can’t drop him due to contractual reasons, or can’t/won’t take the publicity hit to do it.

If you read the article, Wallace acknowledges that it (the “noose”) “may not have been aimed at him” but (here’s the funny part) “somebody tied a noose”. Does this fool understand he’s racing in the NASCAR circuit? The fact that every garage door had a noose means some bubba that works at that track is proud of his noose making skills......and it has NOTHING to do with racism.

We saw the video that was posted on FR early yesterday morning. It was filmed a while ago, and showed a bunch of open garage doors, including the one that was given to Bubba Smollett. Every garage door had a rope pull - some had loops at the end to help grab them, some didn’t. We on FreeRepublic knew the score early yesterday.
