Analysis: The blue dots in Texas red political sea
Huh?
Nor I. New Hampshire #1? I don't think so.
I agree about New Jersey and its split personality. Pennsylvania is similar. Take out Philly and a few other counties and its fine. I was born in Pa. and live in NJ.
The states are by no means homogeneous and surveys of states like this are meaningless.
Go where the good people are in whatever state you live in. They’re in every state.
This study measures civic engagement - how active people are in voting, volunteering, etc.
It doesn’t measure patriotism.
Most patriotic states? Those that voted as part of the 306 in 2016. The least? Those that voted in Hillarys 232.
GO NEW HAMPSHIRE!!!!!!!
Soviet Red Hampshire #1??? What a steaming pille of BS...ROTFLMAOPIMP! NH is evil...evil.
We went back to our old stomping grounds in Clinton, NJ several summers ago with the kids. Went to a great small-town Independence Day parade (my daughters made the local paper with their red-white-and blue outfits).
Then that night to another small-town fireworks show after a few patriotic speeches by the mayor, a vet, and a local young serviceman.
Yes, every state seems to have the same issue.
Liberal, America hating democrat enclaves called major cities that pollute the rest of the states politics and reputation.
One of the metrics for this is PEACE CORP volunteers per capita. GMAMFB. Clickbait garbage.
Trump got something like 54% of the Caucasian vote in NJ, higher than most other “blue” states.
I suspect NJ is “least patriotic” because of all the foreigners we’ve trafficked here to replace the fleeing/dying Americans; I can believe we are dead last.
If Texas has a large foreign population, that might account for it.
The last three are immigrant relocation camps; does TX have a large foreign population?
And look at the roster of “experts” who have defined “Patriotism.”
All college professors.
This survey deserves a good flushing.
I’ll admit that NJ isn’t the most patriotic state in the Union, but the criteria used to measure are crap.
That’s because people around the World know about Texas and that it’s in the USA. ...It also explains our drawl.
