Former White House national security adviser John Bolton said in an interview with The Daily Telegraph that he plans to vote for Joe Biden over his former boss President Trump in November.
Why it matters: While Bolton's scathing upcoming memoir about his time in the Trump White House makes clear his disdain for the president, he is a lifelong Republican and conservative who runs two political action committees dedicated to supporting GOP candidates.
What he's saying: “In 2016 I voted for Trump over Hillary Clinton,” Bolton told the Telegraph. “Now, having seen this president up close, I cannot do this again. My concern is for the country, and he does not represent the Republican cause that I want to back.”
Funny but we already knew that. He is a democrat through and through, no question.

You see, Donald Trump has inflamed these people by not acknowledging their genius. He doesn’t look at them as the final word or even that they are necessarily experts, like so many of the maggots have self-proclaimed and it is driving D.C. insane. ha! No, DJT looks at them as the political hacks that they are. Sure he tries to glean valuable information from them, but he doesn’t necessarily heed their advice. John Bolten views himself as the premiere expert on foreign matters....damn that Donald Trump for not seeing it!

I hardly think that is a persuasive argument for people on the fence. Most people in that position have no idea what MIC means.
It is a massive tide we are swimming against - the entire senior former cabinet staff coming out strongly against a sitting President. I am pretty sure that is unprecedented.
I am not sure Trump will make a compelling enough argument to make people disregard the opinion of the entire cadre of the senior cabinet leadership in the Republican party. This is different from when he was a candidate, and afterwards all coalesced around him.
Who cares? Trump doesn’t want that traitor’s vote.
Not sure he can do that effectively and crisply without wandering and going off on grievance-settling tangents.
