I have checked the White House and Obama.org and I cannot find any records of what Obama did on June 19th while in office.

Get the records now before they get scrubbed.

Raise your hand if you knew about Juneteenth before this month. I’ll bet 10% of the country knows anything about it.

It’s a phony issue. Like so many others.

Well it’s not like Juneteenth was a big deal in Kenya, or Hawaii, or Indonesia.

That’s because 98% of the country had never even heard of Juneteenth until 2 weeks ago. Blacks included.

He did a lot of Muslim holidays, usually referring as “we.”

Pretty much ignored Christmas and Easter.

Deleted God from the Thanksgiving proclamations—only president to do so.

Obama never once was a natural born citizen and eligible under the Constitution.

To be honest, I heard the name of the holiday and knew it had special meaning for blacks, but really wasn’t sure why. Raised in NJ.

President Obama issued WH press releases on Juneteenth in 2011, 2012, 2014-2016. Skipped 2009, 2010, and 2013. Must have slipped his mind.

I don’t understand why they want to celebrate white racists telling slaves in Texas about emancipation TWO AND ONE HALF years after they were emancipated. I’d be pretty pissed if someone kept that good news from me for that long.

It’s been a thing here in the Silicon Valley area for a long time. I don’t know why it caught on here. I probably first heard about it 20 or 25 years ago.

Statement by the President on the Observance of Juneteenth

On this day 150 years ago, more than two years after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, the slaves of Galveston, Texas finally received word that the Civil War was over. They were free. A century and a half later, Americans still recognize this occasion, Juneteenth, as a symbolic milestone on our journey toward a more perfect union. At churches and in parks, lined up for parades and gathered around the barbecue pit, communities come together and celebrate the enduring
promise of our country: that all of us are created equal...”

I took out my Webster’s 1996 Unabridged version of their
dictionary. There are only 2200 plus pages with a huge
listing on each page, and gosh oh golly, no Juneteenth.

Think of Kwansa.

Juneteenth is a name that only an illiterate person could
think made sense.

It’s was coined to become another racially divisive word.

It will become a wedge that will split us farther apart.

I don’t mind being reminded of the hundreds of thousands
who died to bring about emancipation. I don’t mind being
reminded of the fact these people were emancipated. I am
glad they were. It just baffles me that they can’t also
recognize how much our nation has changed, so they can
forget about that and hate us for what took place before
many many many changes and reverse discrimination has
been ensconced in our culture.

Some of them riot on the streets, loot, arson, beat people
of other colors...

I’m done feeling sorry for folks who can’t grasp progress
and the need for all of us to get along.
