Florida and Georgia FReepers - looking at the RADAR and moisture images tonight, it looks like a storm is forming off the SE coast of FL. What if anything are the weather peoples saying in FL?

I live in rural N GA, so this is just a curiosity for me.

According to the National Hurricane Center, https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

“There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time.”

I hope not. We are in Fernandina Beach, Fl and plan on going out and sailing north tomorrow. Nothing in the forecast as of now.

It’ll be a big deal next week , maybe Wednesday, so that the fearmongering can scare everyone to stay at home for the weekend.

It is a high humidity time, good lift, and winds headed from the gulf across the state to the Atlantic. You are seeing afternoon storms blowing up nd blowing out to sea. Normal occurrence.

Nah - just the confluence of a ‘cold” front with high pressure moving towards that area...passing over my area (S. MS) and gave us a bit of humidity relief but possible rain once it clears us.
