Florida and Georgia FReepers - looking at the RADAR and moisture images tonight, it looks like a storm is forming off the SE coast of FL. What if anything are the weather peoples saying in FL?
I have been puzzled by our WV weather coming from the East the last couple of days. We get our wind, rain and storms from the West most of the time. Weather from the East usually means there is something pretty strong coming from off the Atlantic coast. We had a strong rain storm rain blow across from the East this afternoon. Just unusual.
The calm is gone and its already formed, its on its way but wont be here for at least a couple more months.
Youll know when it gets here.
“My fellow Americans, the Storm is upon us.......”
What’s the inside joke with Randy Quaid?
June. Too soon.
July stand by
August. Look out !! You must !!
September. Remember. !
October All over.
Ancient. From the carribean.
Nah - just the confluence of a ‘cold” front with high pressure moving towards that area...passing over my area (S. MS) and gave us a bit of humidity relief but possible rain once it clears us.
We don’t really start paying attention until we hear category 3.
A few years ago, there was a hurricane going up the west side of FL. I was predicting that it was going to turn, that the models were wrong. The Randy Quaid reference is from Independence Day were he was picked on for believing in aliens but was proven to be right.
Heh heh heh. I drive both, and you're right.
A perfectly obtuse analogy. Works for me!
We made it to Savannah. When we were coming in, second day out of Fernandina, we hit a local thunderstorm with 50kt winds right on our bow. Plowed through it (only about 15 minutes long) and was greeted by a wonderful sunset and clear skies on the other side.
