So Hugh, now that we've acknowledged you've done some good work in the past, show me one single country that kneels for their anthem.
Which is not what any of this is about.
Hugh can't afford to lose one single advertiser or he would have to go out and get a real job. THAT is what this is about.
The sad thing is that so many people's lives are so devoid of meaning that sports gives them the sense of value that is missing and they will tolerate the insult.
Not me. I get my sense of value from God, not ESPN.
BLM people get bent out of shape whenever anyone says all lives matter. I saw a Facebook post explaining that it was offensive to dilute the black lives matter message, even if the broader message is true. By the same token, many of us feel offended when BLM and its allies dilute the message and symbolism of the flag and anthem, even if the BLM message is a worthy cause. And this is especially true because the flag is intended to promote unity while black lives matter promotes division.
Perhaps they should consider not playing the anthem at all during sporting events. They don’t do it when I go to work every day. I get that 80,000 people don’t come to watch me work. But perhaps a bunch of over-paid athletes throwing a ball around shouldn’t merit such an honor.
Ok, Hugh, when the reprobates decide that the kneeling has lost its visual impact and they decide that (no disrespect to the flag, of course) they should now kneel and pi$$ on the ground before them - well, I guess that's just as acceptable?

Well if Hew Hewitt says it’s OK, then I guess we should all change our opinions on this. I’m just glad Hew Hewitt has announced that it is OK, so that I can change my position without having to take the individual responsibility and accountability required to arrive at my own conclusions. This really gets me off the hook in life. Wow, thanks Hew.
