A 92-year-old woman was knocked to the ground by a young man in a random, broad-daylight attack in Manhattan last week.
The victim was walking with a pushcart on Third Avenue near East 16th Street in the Gramercy Park neighborhood at about 3:30 p.m. Friday when the brute struck.
They were approaching each other from opposite directions when the man suddenly hit her in the head with his left hand, surveillance footage shows.
The woman tumbles hard to the ground — with the back of her head narrowly missing a fire hydrant.
The attacker coolly continues walking away as if nothing happened, at one point looking back at his victim.
There was at least one witness to the attack, a man on the sidewalk behind the woman. He appears to freeze in disbelief as the woman collapses, the video shows.

He has been arrested and charged with assault. It is NY. He is surely out on the street again with a court date on a piece of paper he crumpled up and dropped in the sewer drain..

It isn't the police departments that need reforming, it's the District Attorney offices, and courts that need to be fixed. Throw in the NY City Council too. They're just as culpable for scum like this being back on the street to continue their criminal behavior.

I have a very close black friend who is 7' tall (really) and a practitioner of MMA. If he saw that guy do that, I guarantee you he'd break him into little pieces and shove him into his own mouth. For such a large person, he is a very gentle soul--until he would witness an outrage like that. Heck, I'm a lot smaller, and I would definitely go after him. I've run off guys beating up women, beating up elderly men, etc. I just won't tolerate that.
The black people I know are just people to me, just as I’m just people to them.
I haven’t asked them, but I know all this madness and pandering is embarrassing them no end.
