SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – San Francisco police will stop responding to neighbor disputes, reports on homeless people, school discipline interventions and other non-criminal activities as part of a police reform plan the mayor announced Thursday.
Mayor London Breed said in a news release that on calls that don’t involve a threat to public safety, police would be replaced by trained, unarmed professionals to limit unnecessary confrontation between the police department and the community.
“We know that a lack of equity in our society overall leads to a lot of the problems that police are being asked to solve,” she said in the release. “We are going to keep going with these additional reforms and continuing to find ways to reinvest in communities that have historically been underserved and harmed by systemic racism.”
Breed’s said as part of police reforms, the city will also strengthen accountability policies, ban the use of military-grade weapons and divert funding to the African-American community.
The city will develop its plan over the next year and follow models like the Cahoots program in Eugene, Ore., Breed said.

Many a dispute between neighbors has turned into violence and even shooting. The first thing the responding social worker will want is police backup.
So what we have here is the fact that the black community can’t control their criminal behavior and nobody wants to address the roots of why there’s so much criminal so instead of actually dealing with the hard issues they want to just redefine what is a crime and make sure the police don’t arrest boscks, correct?

Already the Democrats legalized shoplifting by raising the dollar amount to around $1,000 before they will respond.
And if you get your car windows smashed and everything inside your car taken, forget about calling the police, they will not respond.

Will they stop arresting kids who chew their pop tarts into the “shape” of a “gun”? How about the ham sandwich leftover within 100 feet of a mosque? Betting those arrests will continue.
LOL. So if they are only going to respond to “criminal acts” they will be having MORE contact with blacks and less with other groups.

I am generally criticized for being one of the “radical right”, yet I am in full agreement with this policy change because in my view it is virtually never appropriate for law enforcement to be involved in the noncriminal activities of anyone. On the other hand, I contend that where evidence strongly indicates criminal activity has occurred, it should always be mandatory for law enforcement to become involved.
RESISTANCE IS A CRIME in the new culture shift..!
Now THAT will be the real crime against humanity. If you try to protect yourself in any way, Especially with a firearm (if after intensive investigation your found to be a conservative) you'll spend the rest of your days in the concentration camp..

I was talking with a gentleman at the barbershop recently. His son is a cop. He said they are more concerned about DV calls (domestic violence) than almost any other as there is often a LOT of rage and they come out shooting.
Lighting up a cigar will bring a swat team.
