Once again, it doesn’t matter what Mr. Floyd did before he was killed. It does not excuse what the police officers did.
Its sad when you have to keep repeating an obvious point.
My understanding is that he was complaining that he “couldn’t breathe” long before anyone put a knee on him. And the autopsy says no physical injury was the cause of death.
And the knee to the neck was acceptable police procedure.
And the reason they were waiting was because they were waiting for an ambulance.
So, though it “looked like” the officer was killing him (and yes, it looked that way to me as well), that may not be what was actually happening.
The facts will come out in a court of law. But if this turns out like the Rodney King beating trial, there will be a lot of bad Juju going down afterward.
nce again, it doesnt matter what Mr. Floyd did before he was killed. It does not excuse what the police officers did.
And context really is EVERYTHING. i.e. what he did before they put the knee to him is absolutely relevant.
Once again, it doesnt matter what Mr. Floyd did before he was killed. It does not excuse what the police officers did.
Correct, though it does affect which charges may that legitimately stick.
It does also go back to: dont physically fight with the police. Right or wrong, its generally a bad idea.
1. The police officer apparently used a method of restraint which was authorized by his department.
2. What Floyd did before his arrest very much so will explain why such a harsh form of restraint was used.
I do not know the outcome of this, but I suspect his department and the political powers to be would love to make it about the police officer, sacrificing him on the alter, vs. making this an issue about the police department, or policing et al. and how things have gone sideways over the last decades.
Once again, it doesnt matter what Mr. Floyd did before he was killed. It does not excuse what the police officers did.
Obviously, the “thug” was asking for that 3 minute beating while handcuffed and unconscious. Or something like that.
Once again, it doesnt matter what Mr. Floyd did before he was killed. It does not excuse what the police officers did.
I'm on record of being hard on the cops over the yrs....I just want the whole story....
It completely does.
