As you read this, across the country Tesla attorneys are waiting in line to file complaints to numerous to count...

A Gordian knot. A total can of worms. " It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma"

And BIG BUCKS to the winner.

Maybe the Tesla upgrade covers the warranty for what you’re doing to the motor?

I’m sure the “discounted” hack violates your entire warranty.

Sort of a Tesla “jailbreak.”

Back in the day IBM offered two versions of their mainframe. One slower and much less expensive.

People would buy the slower ones and often discover that they were too slow.

But for a chunk of cash they would upgrade the slow mainframe to the fast model.

A tech would swap out identical boards with different part numbers, install a version of the OS without wait states, and flip a well concealed switch to speed up the CPU.

The fellow I learned this story from had been an IBM tech who used to flip the concealed switch on slow machines without being paid to. He said other techs would often flip it back.

How long do you think it will take Tesla to alter their software to make this hack obsolete? While current users would be fine, new buyers won’t be able to activate the hack.

That’s why you don’t start a big public business to do this, you just do it for cash under the table and let the Tesla owners spread it through word of mouth.

So Tesla, like Apple, can simply do a program tune on your vehicle and control your performance?

Great way to get trade ins, people to sell their cars as in later years they become sluggish or inefficient.

Good grief, no thanks...

I like the built in video games on the car.
some good ones are the driving games where you use the steering wheel and pedals as the controls.

So it’s like a “tune’ for your Tesla. Not magic, just software hacking/reverse engineering.

Fact is, the batteries will still hole a finite amount of energy. So you may get improved acceleration, but at the price of shorter expected mileage per charge. Just like what Tesla offers.

Anyway, in the grand scheme of things, maybe not so bad for Tesla in the long run.
