[Vanity] Going to attend a BLM ‘protest’ in my city as observer - Advice?

Ive been made aware of a rally planned this Friday for a protest by the anti-police mob. The area of town is very conservative, blue-collar, and Trump-supporting. It is definitely an invitation to provoke. I want to attend to record some of the shenanigans that the activists will no doubt engage in. Should I bring a backup crew? Weapons?
Incidentally, there is a privately owned civil war museum right up the road from the park where the protest will occur. Im concerned that some of the anarchist will try to damage it.
If there are any other FReepers in the D/FW area who are interested in going as observers and recorders, Ill welcome all comers.

Try to blend in. Wear black. Look shifty. Record right from their midst.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

My son wore a MAGA hat at the BLM DC march. Lucky to get out alive.

Wear a MAGA hat Id love to, but it would distract from my main mission to just get good evidence WHEN this thing goes south. Id rather remain incognito.
