Did Rod Rosenstein Just Commit Perjury Today? Going by How the DOJ Treated Michael Flynn - Yes.
Townhall ^ | 6/03/20 | Matt Vespa

Well, it’s former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s day to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee about the Russian collusion fiasco. And it’s not going very well. Well, for starters, Rosenstein doesn’t feel that disgraced ex-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe lied to him. McCabe was fired because he lied. He, like Robert Mueller, also appeared to put the second act of this clown show on autopilot. As Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said, Rosenstein was either incompetent or complicit in this whole witch hunt.

He also said that knowing what he knows now, he would not have signed off on the FISA warrant against former Trump campaign official Carter Page. On that front, The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis noted that Rosenstein might have committed perjury. He said he read the warrant, but later when pressed by Cruz, he pretty much admitted that he didn’t “read” it per se.

“Under the standard, he used to charge Flynn, Rosenstein should be charged with perjury,” Davis wrote. John Hayward of Breitbart added that should Rosenstein be accused of that he has “a defense perfected by Grand Master Eric Holder during the Fast and Furious scandal when he claimed he wasn't guilty of perjury because he had no idea what anyone in the Justice Department was actually doing and he never reads his email.”

Rosenstein also said that he doesn’t feel the Mueller probe was corrupt, though he noted that he can see why President Trump was frustrated, given that no evidence pointing to Trump-Russia collusion was found.

I’ve seen a few pundits today saying Rosenstein was just stupid - but I’m going with criminal.

He’s full of crap that he didn’t know what the FBI was doing. It was his job to know. He managed to have a nice, cozy relationship with Mueller’s team, so much so that he let them help him write his second memo expanding the scope of the investigation. I knew they were involved in it. I figured they’d given him a wish list of things they wanted to investigate, and he granted them their wish. I doubt he refused anything they asked for. If he claims he didn’t know, he’s full of $hit.

did anyone ask him how come the TrumpRussiaHoax continued, once it was known Clinton/DNC paid for the Steele/GPS Fusion/Russian dossier?

why didn’t the investigation re-focus on Clinton and the coup plotters?

Rosenstein isn’t a stupid man.

And Sandy Berger wasn’t “sloppy” when he stuffed documents from the national archives in his socks after 911.

Is the burning of a church a hate crime? Oh not if done with a heavily minority led mob. Got it now.

Graham also insist that Russia interfered in our election.

Everyone repeats this endlessly, but what exactly did they do? Where is the evidence of this? A few Russians apparently talked to Steele (if this is the truth) and he incorporated stupid stuff they said into his “dossier” bought and paid for by HRC and the DNC and they fed it to the media and Obama’s DOJ and here we are.

But back up a second.... what exactly did Russia do? I feel like I am talking to global warming idiots who can’t cite any evidence, but say it is accepted and I am an idiot if I do not agree.

Where is the evidence? Everyone talks about this all the time - surely there must be something they can point to about legitimate interference.

It was all a lie. Obama’s White House created it out of whole cloth to cover for HRC blaming “Russia” for her loss. Stop and think about that.... they created a fraudulent hoax, blamed Russia, kicked out a bunch of Russian “diplomats” all in an effort to hamstring the Trump administration, push a hoax, and start a narrative. Getting rid of Flynn was a bonus.

They drove a made up wedge into US - Russian relations for the Trump administration. The other nuclear superpower.... how has this made us all safer?

Where is the proof. Demand it. We have had 10,000 articles and news reports on Russian interference. I have not seen one shred of evidence.

They allegedly created social media accounts. Um, ok. How is that interfering? Anyone on Facebook gets a dose of politics from both sides of the aisle on their page. They were trolling for clicks for revenue! We know some of the “ads” were pro-Clinton and some were “pro-Trump.”

That is it pretty much..... a few clickbait postings and our whole election is in jeopardy? China pretty much owns a large portion of our media so who is a bigger threat?

The other part of the narrative - the Russians hacked the DNC in an effort to hurt Hillary!!!! Um, nope. The head of crowdstrike testified under oath that they are not sure what happened, but it appeared to be an insider job. Seth Rich was allegedly communicating with Julian Assange and wikileaks who posted the hacked emails.

Who knows, but again, the media driven narrative appears to have no corroboration or proof!

I am willing to believe Russia screwed around, but show me the proof. It appears to be a hoax, but everyone (including the GOP) repeats it without question. What is the truth?

If anyone is aware of actual interference in some meaningful way can you ping me? I would like to see it and I have an open mind about it, but I will not accept “conventional wisdom” any longer.

It was very sad to hear Sen. Ted Cruz tell Rosenstein, “Either that you were complicit in the wrongdoing, which I don’t believe was the case, or that your performance of your duties was grossly negligent.”

Why would Cruz include “which I don’t believe was the case,” even if he (delusionally) didn’t believe that was the case?!?

LOL.

Nobody is going to prison. Our FBI/government overlords are above the law. I will be shocked if they get more than a finger wag and a time out.

Tonight Lindsey Graham was breathlessly telling Hannity about all the info he’s uncovered. Stuff we all knew around hear two and a half years ago already!

I remember Comey saying he doesn’t read them either...His job is just to sign off.

It wouldn't take a junior associate attorney to grill the bastard and prove he lied.

Examining Attorney: "So, Mr. Rosenstein, would you agree with me that all emails are not necessarily important, and by the heading/title, many people dismiss them without reading them?

Rosenstein: "Yes, that was my practice as well."

Examining Attorney: " Mr. Rosenstein, I have here as exhibit 123 an email from your mother. Fine lady, I hope she's doing well. Do you remember this email from her wishing you happy birthday?"

Rosenstein: "Yes, my mother always sends a present with a card and always follows it up with an email to make sure I got it."

Examining Attorney: "Mr. Rosenstein, I assume you responded to her email with confirmation you received the gift, and thank her, right?

Rosenstein: "Of course, yes, and I also call her to thank her."

Examining Attorney: " So would you agree with me that in order to respond to an email, you first must not only receive the email, but you must read it. Otherwise, it would not make any sense regarding how you could possibly respond to it coherently?"

Rosenstein: "Okay" (Rosenstein sensing he's stepped in doodoo)

Examining Attorney: "Would you agree then, if you responded to an email you received, that you would have had to have read it?"

[Rod craps his pants]

Rosenstein: "I plead the fifth"

Clearly the dork responded to emails that he now says he never read. Where's the criminal justice system?
