Dear XXXX,
We live in an unjust world. And too many of us have been lulled into complacency by the illusion of progress toward a more just society. The events of the last few weeks and months have shown that the black community and, by extension, all communities of color continue to face obstacles steeped in centuries of racism and violence--- obstacles that threaten their physical safety, mental health, and capacity to live freely.
For those of us in the water polo community, recent events should further strengthen our dedication to diversity and inclusion. The pandemic provides time for reflection. And when we are free to compete again in the sport we love, we will redouble our efforts to welcome each other and all who wish to join our sport with mutual respect and appreciation.
The tragic murder of George Floyd and countless others at the hands of police brutality is a wakeup call. We live in an unjust world. It is up to us to point our light toward social justice and equal opportunity. We must work to protect those least able to protect themselves. We must reach across the time and space of social distancing and find in one another what President Lincoln, in his first inaugural address, called "the better angels of our nature."
The time of the silent majority is over. We must speak out against injustice. We must hold one another accountable. While no person can do everything, every person can do something. Let us stand together.
Christopher Ramsey Chief Executive Officer USA Water Polo, Inc.
In light of current events and with respect to the more important conversations that are taking place at this time, we have postponed all #AtHomeUSAWP content until next week.
Beautiful point about Lincoln. Thanks. Also, it is funny they quote a Republican.

Anyone hear anything from Professional Cornholers?
“Pass me a brat.”
minnesota police have promised to take a knee with protesters.
too soon?
I have a polo player too - I was disgusted by that email and I replied back telling him what I thought.
“... all communities of color continue to face obstacles steeped in centuries of racism ...”
Puhleeze FOAD with our tired trope.
You could fill a school bus with all the actual racists in this country.
A short school bus...
They included a warning not to use broken stalactites and stalagmites in the riots.
Do they let blacks play water polo yet? Every time that I see a team, it’s lily-white.
My life can go forward now.

Doesn't look like there's a single straight guy in the bunch.
Dont assume water polo players feel the same way as this d1ckhead CEO of USA water polo. Water polo is a great sport but their CEO is a man with an extensive background in ballet - not joking.
Countless others?
Well, more than you can count on your fingers and toes.
