The threat to life and property in the Twin Cities continues. Consider this:
Law enforcement and Minneapolis residents were on high alert into the early hours, even though ominous warnings about a new wave of arson attacks had not materialized as of the early hours of Monday.
Earlier Sunday, state officials said several caches of flammable materials were found both in neighborhoods where there have already been fires and “in cars we’ve stopped as recently as this morning,” said John Harrington, state public safety commissioner. Some of the caches look like they may have been planted days ago and some only in the last 24 hours or so, he said.
Police are also finding stolen vehicles with plates removed that are being used to transport the flammable materials. Looted goods and weapons also have been found in the stolen cars, he said.
“The fact that we’ve seen so many of them in so many places now makes us believe that this is part of that pattern that shows that this in fact an organized activity and not some random act of rage,” he said.
One person pulled over in Bloomington while driving a plate-less car attempted to “douse the car itself and set it on fire,” which is “not something you see on most traffic stops,” Harrington said.

During the press conference where all this info was revealed, little interest was shown. Later last night a reporter on TV brought it up and her male counterpart just said “that’s old news, the Gov has said there was outside influence since Friday” and rerouted the news back to the fuel truck episode that had already been the subject of about 5 hours of reporting.
Is he worried that women rioters and White rioters appear to be under represented based on their % in the population? Perhaps we need to address this lack of diversity.

I saw one video someone made of a couple allegedly replacing plates with Wisconsin plates on a Mercedes. The new plates (including the plate’s complete tag ID) were shown in the video but the couple denied having changed the plates. The man had his face concealed but the attractive woman’s face was not masked. I can’t locate the video now but if anyone here remembers it and finds it maybe a Wisconsin FReeper can have the tag ID checked out.

And that is really largely insignificant in the scheme of things.
We have a County Executive whose primary concern (beyond obtaining a personal security detail) was to pass out face masks to the rioters.
Hard to beat that for stupid!

Having the cops abandon the precinct so the mobs could burn it down sent the wrong message.
