ABSTRACT

Recently, a novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), officially known as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), emerged in China. Despite drastic containment measures, the spread of this virus is ongoing. SARS-CoV-2 is the aetiological agent of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) characterised by pulmonary infection in humans.

The efforts of international health authorities have since focused on rapid diagnosis and isolation of patients as well as the search for therapies able to counter the most severe effects of the disease. In the absence of a known efficient therapy and because of the situation of a public-health emergency, it made sense to investigate the possible effect of chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine against SARS-CoV-2 since this molecule was previously described as a potent inhibitor of most coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV-1.

Preliminary trials of chloroquine repurposing in the treatment of COVID-19 in China have been encouraging, leading to several new trials. Here we discuss the possible mechanisms of chloroquine interference with the SARS-CoV-2 replication cycle.

So it works against not just the Wuhan virus, but multiple others, as well. Don’t expect the media to report on this, they and their Dem bosses want us sick or dead because they think that such will hurt Trump.

Interesting but I didn’t see zinc mentioned.

DR’s don’t believe in holistic’s. Besides D, E, Calcium, & FISH OIL (which has been discredited). Forgetting overworked soil is depleted of many. Mich has serious trace mineral Selenium that effects livestock badly. Indoor workers lack vit D3, now does the use of sun block negate your getting enough? ENDO checks mine every 6 months. Magnesium Citrate is the #1 Mineral 30 mg Zinc Gluconate is next, effects smell and taste + more, any form but OXIDE WHICH IS ILL ABSORBED IN ANY VIT OR MIN. Magnesium is half what the 1,000 mg Non rock form of Calcium is, Strontium citrate is 600+ mg, is a bone must.

You will have to order Zinc online grocery, drug stores are OXIDE. I use VITACOST, check labels well.

Scientific papers generally tightly focus on a particular subject otherwise they turn into books. This paper focused on the potential for any direct antiviral actions of chloroquine. It’s ability to open up a channel or portal in the cellular membrane through which zinc can pass and the fact that zinc will then interfere with the ability of a virus to hijack the cell’s replication capability is a happy coincidence.

Since one of the paper’s authors is Didier Raoult, the French doctor who is a major proponent of the use of zinc with hydroxychloroquine, you can be assured that the omission of zinc was not an oversight.

I believe that this paper is addressing the fact that the many (I’ll call them “designed to fail”) trials using only chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine actually do report antiviral activity... just not enough to make these drugs an effective treatment for COVID-19... in the dosages and conditions being used. The paper is examining the antiviral properties that the drug(s) actually do have.

As Dr. Vladimir Zelenko has stated, “Hydroxychloroquine is the gun, zinc is the bullet.”

Big pharma and Dr. Fuaci are throwing unloaded guns at the virus. They get a little bruising but no kill shot. However, they are doing a good job of deceiving the public as to what they are trying to accomplish. Their real problem is all of these pesky survivors who got zinc.

But but but... the fat boy Neil “co morbidity” Cavuto on Fox News says HCQ will kill you

As a scientific journal, they describe the chemical working of HCQ, but not one mention that it is an ionophore and what that critical feature means when administered in combination with zinc. With doctors around the world describing this interaction, it’s incredible that these authors completely left this out of their discussion. Why? With this obfuscation, it will be necessary to formulate the zinc into the HCQ pill so it can’t be left out of the treatment.

Yeah, Cavuto is a jerk. Oh, he’s surely entitled to his opinions on politics in general, and Trump in particular. But he’s not entitled to his own facts. One fact is that HCQ has been used by tens of millions of people over the last 65 years for malaria, lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis, and if it was dangerous the FDA would long ago have pulled it.

If it was dangerous, why would WHO have it on the list of the 100 most important drugs available ON THE WHOLE FREAKING PLANET?

Here’s another one for you: my mother has R.A. and has been taking HCQ daily for 5 years. This, with a pre-existing heart arrhythmia problem. No heart issues AT ALL, and no issues with her retinas (she gets checked quarterly for that). The fact that Cavuto has missed (I believe on purpose, for political reasons, because it is so damned easy to find this stuff out in minutes) is that ALL of the problems with HCQ (except nausea and diarrhea) are LONG TERM problems. People prescribed HCQ for the Wu Flu only get it for 4 or 5 days - I would literally be surprised if more than 1 or 2 in a million people experienced anything beyond those mild, temporary symptoms for such a short course of treatment.

Cavuto is an intellectual lightweight, and not even a very good one of those.

Agree! And the sad part is we NEED patients to do these trials on HCQ. No thanks to Fauci, the WHO and the media Cavuto types, patients are now afraid of HCQ and it’s hard to get folks signed up.
