PDJT held an awesome presser in the Rose Garden after making this announcement.

Really delved deeply into the voting fraud, ballot harvesting and RNC convention site issues.

Could not find a dedicated thread of this event on FR.

It's a sad commentary on America's eating/exercise habits.
Type I diabetes is the BAD ONE. It's genetic.

Type II is not genetic and is brought on from Americans' horrible food choices and exercise style that consists MAINLY of walking to and from the kitchen and bathroom.

Type II can be held at bay with good food choices and exercise. Oh well, they are in enough pain and/or discomfort without hearing me spout off.

My mantra: EAT LESS; EAT BETTER; MOVE MORE.
Simple to do but so very hardto do.

Is Joe Manchin’s daughter in line to make more money? She jacked up the price of Epi-Pens.

“My mantra: EAT LESS; EAT BETTER; MOVE MORE.”

True, the cat’s out of the bag now as to how to control Type 2 diabetes without insulin, and often without any meds - it just takes ignoring 50 years of ‘expert’ advice.

“Simple to do but so very hard to do.”

Particularly when the ‘experts’ consider you borderline insane for questioning their ‘wisdom’.

that lying a-hole from lily who spoke about being in the fight to lower insulin costs should be taken out and shot. i take two types of insulin manufactured by lily and the price has more than doubled since i started with them in 2012.

It was awesome. While it was ongoing I did a quick channel check and surprise, surprise, surprise, CNN and MSNBC were not coveting it.

Insulin? I don’t think that Manchin-connected company does anything with insulin? Probably not even with diabetes meds.
Anybody else know?

Does Mylan make insulin?

Mylan announced Thursday that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Appeal Board had ruled in its favor, allowing the Canonsburg-based pharmaceutical company to continue making a generic insulin glargine vial. Dec 13, 2018

I had a friend with type II diabetes. She takes her shots and tries hard (often successfully) to control her eating.
But she HATES, LOATHES and DETESTS exercise.
SO, trying to be a good friend to her I e-mailed her that I'd walk with her ANY time, ANYwhere for how ever long or short a time.

Well, that enraged her. She wrote that she already KNEW what to do and didn't need ME to tell her. I stopped being her friend, I guess. Aren't friends supposed to help and be supportive?
I sent her a Christmas card...but no good.
I guess she wasn't the friend I THOUGHT she was.

When we had lunch once I watched her give herself an injection in her stomach. Yuck! The day will come when she'll die from diabetes.

I had it on both sides of my family. One of my father's sisters died from it and my mother's brother died from it.

PREVENTABLE and CURABLE.

Sad story - but she had her meds, so she figured she was JUST FINE. Oh well...

It IS sad. It shows SUCH a lack of self-control.
She will get ONLY worse and worse.

I had an uncle and first cousin (father-son) with diabetes and they both died from the effects of it. My uncle had some TOES cut off before he passed away.
He remarked that it REALLY threw off his golf game.

Controlling or even eliminating type two diabetes through diet and exercise is simple but it is not easy. If it were easy no one would have type two diabetes. It is too bad that the diabetes pharmaceutical companies, magazines, special interest groups, etc. do not do more to stress the importance of diet and exercise. Instead they tell people which drugs might help them. I don’t know how many type two diabetics take insulin but I don’t think it’s most of them.

People with type one diabetes have the potential for the same types of devastating long term side effects of the disease as with Type 2, but it has a completely different cause. A type one diabetic does not make insulin and will die without it.

The comparison I always use is:

Driving is VERY complicated, especially in a big city. But it is VERY easy to do. Even 16-year-olds are allowed to get a driver's license.

Controlling weight/diabetes is VERY simple. But it is VERY difficult to do.

Thanks for your acknowledgement,

Yes, indeed, it’s a shame how the likes of CNN and MSNBC arbitrarily blackout our magnificent POTUS!!

I caught today’s event on C-SPAN—and I’m certain OANN must have had it.

Yeh I read the article and thought maybe medicare should just pay for them to be on Jenny Craig for 90 days. Most type 11 diabetes goes away if you lose weight and give up soda pop. My BIL just refuses to lose weight no matter what goes wrong. Hes morbidly overweight but just wants to take insulin rather than give up eating 24/7.

The problem is that there’s a monopoly of three insulin manufacturers. Why doesn’t Trump write an executive order to eliminate that?
