Host Chris Cuomo and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo are being slammed for their lighthearted jokes during a discussion on coronavirus testing on CNN last night.
During Wednesdays episode of Cuomo Prime Time the governor recounted how he was tested for coronavirus on live TV during his daily press briefing on Sunday, leading his brother to joke he had a big nose and required a baseball bat-sized nasal swab for a test.
But not all viewers were laughing over the brotherly banter.
The View host Meghan McCain led the criticism on Twitter saying: 'Im not sure Im going to ever be able to buy a crib or baby clothes for my first child in a store, Most of my friends are jobless, petrified and dealing w depression & @JaniceDean lost both her mother and father in law to COVID within a week of each other.'
'This is HILARIOUS guys,' she added sarcastically.
New York has surpassed two months in lockdown and still reports the largest number of COVID-19 cases in the country with over 354,000 cases and more than 23,000 deaths.

trump’s fault
Its the Benito and Fredo Show!
So much material for SNL...
Their punishment should be to have them both tied down to stakes while all 19 million New York State residents get a chance to nasal swab them.
Just 2 wild and crazy guys!
Bet NYS’s newly jobless aren’t laughing.
If only SNL actually based any of their humor on Leftists...........
Maybe Greg Gutfeld's show. Not sure if Tom Shillue can carry off Italian satires...
Those two are so classy! So smart and articulate!
A*Sholes, that’s what they are.
Instead they will be on the covers of all the mags portrayed as heroes - but SNL could do a month of jokes about them.
I understand Newsome made announcements for California.... at 6AM Califiornia time. I was asleep.
The New York numbers are one part destiny - population density, and one part man made - the state’s policies on nursing homes tied together with the absence of a statewide laser focus on preventing infection rates and deaths at the nursing homes (1/4 of state deaths).
I think what also has not been looked at is possible rates of nursing homes themselves being the center of spikes in cases, as workers there, using insufficient protection, acquire an infection in the nursing home, and take it home and into the community with them.
Good These donkeys are starting to even piss off democrats. Shutdowns hurt Democrats too.
They know that but they are making the calculated decision to screw all their constituents on the expectation that republicans weren't going to vote for them anyway and democrats will never vote for the republicans. So they are safe to ruin the lives of all around them and still remain in power. Especially with the media cheerleading that they are actually saving everyone.
But New Yorkers, albeit leftists to a fault, are certainly wise to when they are getting shafted, and I think it's about ready to boil over in NYC. We'll see.
Having dealt with two NYC and one LI nursing home while caring for my aunt and uncle I know one thing for sure, a resident gets sick he/she are first seen by home physician and then sent to either a specialist or ER . Homes don’t like to be sued so they take care if a condition looks serious. There is no way they are capable of handling a contagious and dangerous disease and they know it. Cuomo knew it too and didnt care.
Cuomo is also proud that he didn’t even give the nursing homes a chance to object to his plan, just said it’s an order to do it you have no choice. From what I read A few nursing homes did object and ask that patient we sent to the Javits center, which was set up specifically to treat coronavirus patients but the state specifically told them no you must take them in and care for them.
I can also attest to the fact that nursing homes do not want to treat “sick” people who need care above what a nursing home should be doing, which is why if something comes up as you mentioned the in-house doctor will check it out and send them to the hospital or specialist for proper treatment. A nursing home is meant to just care for someone who is already on a specific medication regimen prescribed by a Doctor Who is unable to take care of themselves, not treat an unknown disease.

The TOP of the medical profession is at the major hospitals, and they are the top of food chain when it comes to political donations from the health care industry. Nursing homes - in terms of the medical care there - get the least medically qualified people, anywhere I have had experience with, and yes, when things get bad with a patient there then their objective is to get the patient to a hospital, not treat them at the nursing home - they are in no position for unexpected. But, for New York and other states, follow the donor money. To Cuomo there was no political benefit telling hospitals to take and keep a hospitalized nursing home patient with the Wuhan Virus. He had already directed hospitals could not take in revenue producing “non essential” business, due to a worry about an “overwhelming” of their facilities that largely did not happen.
Anti Semitic.
