I was dumbfounded. I glared at her and said "Yes, I am." She gave me a death-stare from above her mask. A minute later I heard some store employee saying "Sir! Sir? Sir!" and I ignored it. I figured the snitch turned me into the store Gestapo.
At the store entrance, they have stationed young employees to make sure that not too many people get into the store and that everybody gets a spritz of some sanitizer on their hands before entering. The young woman spritzing yesterday was very nice and said "Have a nice shopping day."
The one-way aisles and arrows on the floors have to be the most stupid things I've ever seen.
Very little of that crap here in the midwest. People more laid back, polite, and friendly than the northeast or west coast. But you never know.
Im proud to say that, in our local Walmart, the arrows are completely ignored,
In certain isles, Social Distancing (I feel like a sheep using that stupid term), is also ignored.
As I went to the stores, like WalMart and Brookshire brothers you could see the Dems and the Republicans. The Dems wore masks and had the hand sanitizer on a string tied to their belts. The black Dems did have their masks under their noses for some reason as if virus doesn't go up your nose.
As We went to the various doctors, things got serious. They were mask NAZI's of course and only allowed one in and the other must wait in the car. What I noticed was they asked 40 questions about have you had a fever, cough, have you been around someone with a cough, have you left the county in the last 6 months, do you work at a meat packing company, and on and on. I was placed on my "X" that was 6 feet from the guy in front of me and I told them after he was allowed in the office that I knew for a fact that he lied on the questions. He was from a different county to just to get to this doctor. I myself came from another county to get this appointment. They went berzerk. I told them what if I lied on the questions, would you know? When they said no, I asked them "why ask then?" They couldn't give a cogent answer except we are supposed to ask. While waiting in line a man just walked past everyone with no mask or questions. He used an ungloved hand to open the door, past the woman with the hand sanitizer and was 50 yards inside the clinic before anyone could stop him. He wasn't happy and was cussing the young girls trying to keep up the illusion that this was a clean place. I saw several people hand files over to others and rub their hands on counter tops and door handles, pick up phones and type on keyboards .As I left the office, there were several people outside next to the building smoking with no masks and 1 ft apart.
I'm sure this happens every day to contaminate buildings no matter how clean they get it at night. Can you imagine a person with a 100 degree fever that coughs telling you that he has been isolated and has no sickness and doesn't know any sick people and hasn't left his home in a month trying to go to the doctor? I can assure you every word out of his mouth will be a lie. Also, imagine the look of a clinic worker turning away a man with a fever trying to get to a doctor. We have been literally turning away sick people to go home and infect everyone around them with no doctor to treat them. This is insane, IMO.
Meanwhile we go to WalMart and pick up cans that 2-3 people have handled, touch baskets that haven't been wiped, and handle money that hasn't been cleaned. It's all an illusion. If we could see the virus like a dust, you would lock yourself in a closet and hold your breath until blue. Even your mask must fit skin tight to even act like it helps. I was a medic in the military and can assure you this is all pretend.
IMO, we are all doomed to exposure before this year ends no matter how careful you think you are. You will either not have symptoms, get sick and then get well, or die if it's your time. They are saying it will last over summer and come back next year. What are the odds you will have perfect protection until next year ends? You would do better to loose weight, control your sugar, and stop smoking, than to worry that all your surfaces are clean.
hey...thanks for the thread...I’m surprised this isn’t the longest thread of at least this week...
A couple of weeks ago, a lady with a mask on, in her car by herself with the windows rolled up and latex gloves on, pulled up next to me in the drive thru lane and rolled her window down to tell me I needed to wear a mask.
I calmly told her that just the night before, the county commissioners had voted that people no longer had to wear masks in public anymore. She looked confused and flummoxed and said I could be infecting people with the virus and she was going to report me. To whom I don't know. It's a rural area with no police, just an occasional sheriff's deputy. And I know all of them by their first names.
Nobody really enforces all of these "rules" out here in the country because most people know each other. And this county is not very high risk for the Covid-19 being contracted anyway. Last time I heard, we had 2 or 3 hundred cases total and only 2 or 3 deaths, all of those in the big city 40 miles away.
Of course, the county commissioners had not voted to allow the public to stop wearing masks when this lady confronted me. I made that part up. 😂
BTW, she had a Biden 2020 bumper sticker on her rear bumper. Wouldn't ya' know.....
If some COVID busybody wants me to wear a mask. I'm sure I'll get the proper social distancing...
I was going down the wrong way in a store islse today and some guy said didn’t you see the arrows. I said hell I didn’t even see the Indians.
I sent my husband and oldest a disabilities act screenshot in case any of them gets harassed at the store. We traveled out of state recently and there were some level 10 karens out there. This mask shit is really bothering my daughter, who’s deaf. Try lip reading when everyone’s mouths are covered up. I am so tired of all of this mass hysteria.
I live in a mask-optional state and have opted not to wear one. So far, the worst I have encountered are stern looks.
I am thinking of getting this shirt.
I thought it was “busybuddy” and they were like, your friend, trying to help you out...
/s. ;-)
#1 Yes you must follow the arrow. If you pass the item you want you must go around : )
I have been scolded 3 times myself. I now order from the stores and they use Instacart. 1 hour after I ordered they delivered.
Several family members.
This story from Kentucky has to win the prize. Parents reported to social services because they brought 5 children into a bank
I went to Lowe’s, planning to put my stimulus money toward a new, $3K riding mower.
I had a couple of reasonable questions before I’d close the deal, but the tall, muscular sales clerk acted like such a pussy— he kept hollering, “MA’AM, I’m asking you to stand back! MA’AM, I really don’t want to call security!” -—he was afraid I MIGHT step over the 6-foot line, he wouldn’t listen to or attempt to answer my questions-—I just walked out & didn’t buy.
OUR Walmart tolsd us that they were going to put in arrows and make the aisles back and forth and they did so...but 2 of the aisles next to each other (coffee, veggies etc) are both green which messes up most people and its confusing to go back around the long way to get to the aisle I want so I just pop through to where I need to be if the aisles is not to full of people...1/2 the people (yes women) go the wrong way...usually some of the aisles are 1/2 blocked with employees restocking anyway so theres not 6 feet if you want to get passed to a particular item... if the item is just inside the row I just leave my cart outside and go the wrong way and grabbed it...
Otherwise I’d be in there 1/2 the day just trying to work out the traffic signals...
1/2 the shoppers and all of the employees wear masks or bandannas...
Ive become like LInus... My outlaw-in-an-old-Western-bandanna is my security blanket...
:)
Nope.
But I have noticed a lot of people don’t follow the arrows at Walmart. I do try but if no one else is on that aisle I will go the wrong way if what I need is closer to the end
I am already near. One aisle was blocked by a woman in a cart and what I needed was at the other end anyways so I went up the wrong way. She was still blocking it after I got what I needed.
It also doesn’t help that they put the arrows down wrong in the grocery section.
On the right side is the grocery section. All the way to the back is the pet section, cleaning supplies, paper products ect. The milk is on the outside wall. The first aisle is the chips and booze. The end cap is the eggs. Most people enter it from the milk/egg side and not the main aisle. So of course they put the green enter arrow at the wrong end and this messes everyone up from their normal shopping habits.
Zero deaths in my county.
Wanted to stimulate the economy at our local Ross store today.
Sign on the door said masks required.
So I will stimulate the economy else where.
Arizona has been mask optional the whole time.
Yet 50% still wear masks.
And the rest of us get ugly glares.
My county requires masks inside all businesses. I hope they get sued into bankruptcy later when people claim health issues related to wearing masks. I really do wish this happens.
There are a bunch of other crazy rules they have.
There will have to be a massive deprogramming of people when this is all done.
Trump should have done dropped down the hammer down months ago on the idiots that run my state and county.
Trump can’t admit he bought into a hoax and all of this is on him. He sent out postcards about this months ago. I got one. It includes avoiding discretionary travel, avoid social gatherings of 10 or more people, work or study from home, and avoid eating at bars and restaurants.
