Have you run into any COVID busybodies? I'd love to hear your stories and personal experiences. Post them here!
I had a lady in our grocery store say to me, out of the blue at the self check out...”where’s your mask”? I said...”I’m wearing it...as a jock strap”.
They made the masks mandatory here in King County (WA), but I’ve seen a few people in stores not wearing them. I have a home-made one, which I don’t like at all. I’ve only worn it three times.
That's none of your business.
LOL!
Yes, they are all over. Awful, we need to open up to extinguish them.

How do you pronounce "business?"
There's more logic there than meets the eye.
Because English borrows words from other languages and keeps their spelling. I have a terrible time with French words. We should give them back on mass. (YES. I know how it’s spelled.)
I have always been amazed by how discourteous or unaware people are with folks around them (ex: blocking isles...). I found myself in a situation where there was only one way out, and it was blocked by someone wearing a mask, I just marched toward her until she decided to, in a panic, move herself and her cart. No words were spoken.
My wife used to be embarrassed to shop with me. She is now amused, and tells the stories to all our friends.
Happy shopping!
yes! we need to whittle away at the abundant stupidness out there :)
The pro baseball league in Korea has started playing again. I watch that when I get up in the morning. Players don’t wear masks but coaches and umpires do. We’re coming to the end of week two of the season and most of the coaches are now wearing the mask down around their chin.
Back to COVID-19 in northern CA, the public seems cautious but not freaking out over this (could be the cannabis). Too many drivers wearing masks, though.
We have a bounty system here in Hawaii to hunt down and report tourists not following quarantine laws and staying in their hotel rooms for two weeks.
We live on a culdesac dead end street with both a flat road and up a steep hill. You can only get on our street via a street that ends in several short dead ends.
There is minimal road traffic and a lot of walkers. Most do not wear masks due to the altitude and increases in altitude once you get off the main road. Most are friendly and say high or some pleasant greeting.
A couple of weeks ago a neighbor and his best friend for decades were walking on the correct side of our street and where the road is about 35’ wide. These guys are about 6’5” and still in great shape after VN, playing football at a major college and in their 70’s.
A Karen started yelling at them to get their masks on. They yelled back,”Shut up and get out of here before we kick your ass!”
Karen did a U turn and went back away from our friends.
they are nuts! I was walking into publix a week ago and there was a lady behind me and I noticed every time I slowed down she’d slow down. So I kept slowing down, speeding up, slowing down, speeding up....lol. I was gonna force her to need a calgon bath!
Or how about the strange woman who had nothing better to do than to run up and down the line at JoAnns talking in peoples faces and trying to butt in line? Or the guy at Walmart who did the same thing?
Theres more than one kind of Covid busybody.
We're going to have to wait for an answer. The grammer police here have been considered non-essential and forced to abandon their computers.......
If you really want to offend them (and many of them deserve to be offended), perhaps we should portray the masks as a modern version of the tinfoil hat:
These pathetic excuses for men spent more time talking about "being safe" and anti-social distancing and masks than they did about sports. This attitude -- this incessant fear in American men just very, very sad to listen to this, it's disgusting! What the hell has happened to the traditional spirit, bravery and take-charge demeanor of American men? Will it return?
