is an American film released in 1971 which combines elements of documentary, science fiction, horror and apocalyptic prophecy to present a gripping satirical depiction of the struggle for survival between humans and insects. It was conceived and produced by David L. Wolper, directed by Walon Green and written by David Seltzer, who earned a Writers Guild of America Award nomination for his screenplay.

Saw it in NYC when it was released...left the theater looking to buy a flame thrower.

I very much enjoyed the one called “African Cats”, about lions, cheetahs, etc. I have not seen others, but that one was top notchvery high production values and extraordinary close-ups of the animals, with wide panoramic and drone scenes of the African plains and watering places.
The only one of those films I would stay away from is the elephant one, because Megan Markle bullied her way into narrating that one to finance her flight from UK.
Attenborough did amazing work. Nova also has decades worth of material all on YouTube. Naked science has some good geology vids. The National Geographic channel has a ton as well
I can’t remember the title of this most excellent video I used to show the kids in my biology classes. I believe it was a Nat Geo film. It chronicled the journey criss-crossing America by a male and a female photographer, photographing disappearing species. It was a great film and we all enjoyed it. The film was probably made in the early 2000s.

Russ Meyer did one called Up. Lot of nature scene’s.
I dimly recall seeing that in a movie theater in the early 1970s. Great short film - I remember a scene with a guy with a garden hose spraying it in slow motion to wipe out bugs in the garden. I'd like to see it again too.
That's the film I was thing of in my post above to another.
The Intelligent World of Crows
Lesley the Bird Nerd
This remarkable woman talks about her personal interactions with wild birds in a completely approachable way. I have learned a lot watching her videos...
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
I loved Robin Williams comedy routine when he talks about Wild Kingdom in a Marlon Perkins voice: “My assistant Jim will attempt to circumcise a water buffalo.” and Jim is going “Oh s**t, oh s**t” and the Water Buffalo says “Clown, the only thing between you and me is that tranquilizer s**t!”

Awesome.
Nat Geo Wild has some fantastic programs about nature.
The regular Nat Geo is good also, but tends to have programs that are not just about nature.
Animal Planet has two series that are really good: The Zoo (Zoos in Columbus, Australia, Bronx, et al), and The Aquarium.
Both show the behind the scenes of how the keepers train and take care of the animals and show how many are raised from birth, get medical attention, etc.
