It was frozen money meant for a future, non-theocratic, non-dictatorship, non-hostile Iranian regime that compensated us for taking the US embassy hostage. That money would have been an excellent boost to the finances of the successor to this current regime. Except Obama gave the farm away, meaning that any new regime will require tens of billions in American aid to get going. And the Iranian nuclear program got a real shot in the arm. Not to mention that the Iranian regime got a new lease on life after a period in which economic unrest was threatening to topple it. It’s as if Reagan had suddenly handed vast sums of money to the Soviet Union just as it was beginning to fall apart.

So the big chunk of money was just money that was unfrozen.
In pure cash (not just dollars, but Euro and Swiss Francs)....there were a couple of deliveries with pallets. First one was 400-million...more followed after that...to total 1.7-billion US dollars.
Now, here’s the ‘rest of the story’ (as Paul Harvey would tell it).
Iran is in a cash mess right now, with business owners and well-to-do Iranians taking their profits (what does exist) and simply swapping for non-Iranian currencies....to be removed from the country. Most of this goes to Dubai. They buy condos, gold, and anything of value....to store and hold.
Chief reason? I talked to an Iranian in 2017 who’d left. For a decade, there’s NO confidence in the economy, or the banks of Iran. They all expect a collapse to occur. So when money comes into the hands of merchants....they refuse to deposit it in Iran banks. The exchange rate in the past three years? Pretty crappy, but they don’t care.
This 1.7-billion was supposed to be some short-term relief for the banks. What is generally said...the VIPs of the government swept up the cash (dollars, Euro, etc) and did their movement of the cash outside of Iran....to continue the trend. So the 1.7-billion probably didn’t last more than 60 days, before it left the country. All of it....probably resides in Dubai today (just my humble guess).
So this should bring you to the obvious pondering....how can a government like this last? Day by day....month by month...it’s simply moving closer to a economic collapse. Somewhere over the next decade....some massive public anger will erupt, with the currency declared worthless.

What exactly does she mean? What is the lie?
For example you can show her from a liberal source that Obama gave Iran the money.
She’ll then just say it was Iran’s money, nothing wrong with it etc...
