Willard died Friday night in Los Angeles of natural causes,
My favorite bit that he played in was Fernwood Tonight.
He and Martin Mull were hilarious in that spoof.
Comedy just isn’t the same these days. The current crop of
comedians wouldn’t know funny if it bit them on the ass.

Me too! That was the funniest stuff - made even funnier for me as I had watched Fernwood 2 Night when in HS and was laughing my a$$ off at the outlandish things said and done on that show.

He’s one of those guys who was on TV for years. For me, his most memorable stuff was on “Real People” and Johnny Carson’s show.
Bummer, Fred was a funny guy. RIP
I remember him in the Ace Trucking Company along with Patty Deutsch. Best of Show he was a standout. Think I’ll watch it and Mighty Wind tonight.
