Trump Needs To Recruit A Medical ‘Red Team’ To Challenge Lockdown-Manic Governors
The Federalist ^ | May 14th 2020 | Stephen Meyers

President Trump and 50 governors now face a critical choice. Since March 16, 33 million Americans have filed for unemployment, and more than 83,000 American deaths have been attributed to the COVID-19 virus.

So what to do? How many more weeks, months, or even years should current sheltering-in-place orders continue? When can or should they be lifted?

The administration’s virus taskforce has recommended only a gradual lifting of stay-at-home orders and has established criteria for full re-opening that could take months to satisfy in many states. Yet Trump also insisted that even though “some people [will] be affected badly. . . and there will be more death,” “we have to get our country open and we have to get it open soon.”

Many in the media condemned this statement as “risking more death to save the economy” and a dangerous repudiation of “the science.” Blue-state governors who have refused to reopen have similarly cited “the science” to justify their decisions to extend stay-at-home orders.

Federal government should not interfere with states more than necessary, say in time of a real war. The states are often though of as an opportunity to try different things and see what works. Let it play out but do not send federal dollars to bail out failed experiments.

I’m in Michigan and waiting to hear what the Michigan Judge will decide on Republican lawsuit about her extending shut down longer then 28 days. I suspect the Judge will go with the Gov as she said “I suspect this will end up with Michigan Supreme Court.

Also read from Detroit news how Dem legislators are calling Whitmer out on her sending SR COVID patients back to nursing homes, like Cuomo did. We have lot of deaths compared to other states. 5 counties in Michigan have the majority of cases and deaths and she is holding the whole state hostage.

Michigan cases 50,079 and 4825 deaths. Our deaths compared to other states with same or over cases in so much less then Michigan.

I really believe she will extend the shut down after May 28th.

At some point I hope President steps in but won’t be anytime soon.

Article is spot-on. He should have added more diverse medical voices to challenge Fauci long before this.

The Mi GOP should have gone directly to the Mi SC. When Half Whit wins in the lower court it will just end up helping her and dragging it out.

Put Dr. Knut Wittkowski or another epidemiologist in some of those briefings to counter this goofy “until there's a cure” garbage. He has been roasting that idea as lacking in basic understanding of epidemiology. He won't attack Fauci by name, but counters everything Fauci and company have said.
Another thing we all can emphasize is the decline of hospitalizations is dramatic. 30% drop from the high on April 18 to end of last week. This virus is going away because all viruses lose potency, usually in 6-8 weeks, but we have spread it out by “flattening the curve.”
Third idea, whenever we talk about shutdowns it would be good to call them “DEADLY shutdowns.” They are KILLING people, maybe as many or more than the virus itself

The governors & others insisting on continuing the “shelter-in-place” orders need to be suffering in similar fashion right along with the people they are ordering.

It’s up to the Governors to open their states up. But they have to be careful on curtailing the freedom of speech. Okay. People cannot meet outside. Allow them have drive in service. Outside sitting where people are socially distancing from each other. AG Barr needs to go after Governors who are continuing with that kind of stunt.

Congress to the rescue (yeah, right) of patriots being oppressed under the boots of “Orange Man Bad” Democratic governors!

Probably motivated in part by loss of unconstitutional, vote-buying federal funding, these governors are likely weaponizing (imo) pandemic to get PDJT out of office to recover such funding.

But patriots are reminded that constitutional lawmakers have given Congress the express 14th Amendment (14A) power to make punitive laws to discourage state actors from unreasonably abridging rights that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect.

From the 14th Amendment:

H O W E V E R…

We are still stuck with a very corrupt, elite Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration that will predictably cheer while watching CNN show state elected officials enjoy beaches and parks that they have otherwise prohibited public access to in the name of the SARS-CoV-2 lockdown. "Trump did this!"

The remedy for constitutionally failed federal and state governments…

Send "Orange Man Bad" federal and state government Democrats and RINOs home in November!

Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will not only promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 but will also do the following.

New lawmakers also need to promise to do their 14A duty to make punitive laws to discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections.

Put the Barstool Sports guy on the Task Force.
“When did flattening the curve become finding a cure?”
He would liven things up.

He should have done that the minute Fauci came on the scene and then fired the little bastard. Fauci is deep state, He backed The Beast big time in 2016, and he is committed to the destruction of the economy and Trump’s election in November. Trump was hoodwinked, and Fauci won the Art of the Deal.

From the article:AMEN!

I was dismayed to read today that in expanding the task force, all the new members are gvt bureaucrats. Link.

Fauci's influence needs to be very diminished. He has been so wrong so many times.
