WASHINGTON The US Veterans Administration will not replace three tombstones of soldiers who fought for Nazi Germany inscribed with swastikas in its military cemeteries, calling them historic resources.
A group that advocates for religious freedom in the military on Monday called on the VA to replace two World War II-era POW headstones in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas, inscribed with swastikas inside a German cross, and the phrase, He died far from his home for the Führer, people, and fatherland.

Oddly enough it was a Nazi that helped save thousands of Chinese lives during the Japanese rape of Nanking.
Or, I should say, “WE” won’t eradicate leftism. HE will. But I think you already know that.
The Germans were much more civil to POWs, at least to the non-Russian POWs, than either the Russians or Japanese were.
My thinking is that leftism is an echo of prosperity. Usually it is led by spoiled rotten brats of prosperous families. If you look at historical leftists, you learn this is the general rule, not the exception.
Mao, Marx, Lenin, Castro, and so forth were spoiled rotten rich kids.
Right thinking creates prosperity, and the second generation often turns to the left because they have no idea how things were before right thinking made things better.
I would like to claim this idea as my own, but it's a lot older than me.
So no, I don't think we will ever get rid of Leftism. It comes from human instinct modified by circumstances of prosperity.
Hardship keeps it at bay for awhile, but it returns when prosperity returns.
Interesting question. But then a lot of our men are buried in Europe.
It's like the German government just can't suppress it's inner Nazi. They simply have to have control of people's thoughts.
They are in marked graves. Let them rest in peace.
There is a difference between an evil political movement and those working for them.
Who would condemn U.S. military serving under Øbola?
WE took in a lot of the Afrika Korps boys. They like most of the American boys were conscripts. They weren’t there voluntarily, and they had no Canada to run to. They answered the call just like our guys did. They served proudly, they weren’t there to kill Jews, they were fighting for their buddies, just like our guys, and just as proud of their country. Right or wrong it was their country. If there was a Maltese cross on their graves, it may not have ever been noticed.
A lot of them joined the French Foreign Legion after the war.
History forgotten is history repeated.
I don't mean to be picky, but....he assumed the position of navigator, not pilot of the Naval Construction Contract 1701. Later, he worked as a P12 (not P10) for Psi Corp.
It really makes my butt tired to look at it that way. I really want evil to admit it lost and stop bothering people, but I guess that won’t happen until Our Lord comes again in glory.
I may be mistaken but I think Nazi swastikas point in a clockwise direction while others, such as some American Indian tribes had the same kind of decoration only pointing counter-clockwise. Anyone know?
Its a swastika in an Iron Cross. Remake the tomb stones with just the iron cross(iron cross was a military award for the German Armed Forces before Hitler). No way should a Nazi Swastika be displayed anywhere in the US except for museums.
The left can’t get over the fact that the right to not be offended is not in the constitution.
Hang in there, brother.
“Hang in there, brother.”
When I die, I want to fall facing the enemy. That will be good enough for me.
the complainer might have been a Bavarian with a long memory
of Friedrich der Grosse wailing on the Imperials in a battle.
