In statistics, the 68–95–99.7 rule, also known as the empirical rule, is a shorthand used to remember the percentage of values that lie within a band around the mean in a normal distribution with a width of two, four and six standard deviations, respectively; more accurately, 68.27%, 95.45% and 99.73% of the values lie within one, two and three standard deviations of the mean, respectively.

It was this rule that told me the news media was lying from day one about COVID19. They were treating this disease as if it did not exist on a bell curve. No disease acts that way unless it kills every single person it infects. We know of no such disease. EVERY infectious disease has a bell curve of infections. If one tries to bring this to their attention, one gets shouted down as if that information was more dangerous than the disease could possibly be.
