New Flynn Filing -
Judge Sullivan appoints retired Judge John Gleeson as amicus "to present arguments in opposition to the govt's motion to dismiss"
Sullivan - also orders Gleeson to address whether the Court should hold Flynn in contempt for perjury. pic.twitter.com/hAedW6BrSP— Techno Fog (@Techno_Fog) May 13, 2020
I don’t understand how the term perjury continues to used. Flynn never took the stand to be questioned during a trail.
Any lawyers here that can help me understand how perjury applies here?
Does amicus only go one way ?
0bama announces that Flynn's is the first case of perjury ever dismissed without trial - an error pointed out by ex-US Atty Andy McCarthy saying that Flynn was not charged with perjury - and lo, Judge Sullivan tries to morph the charge in to perjury. Coincidence?
Methinks the Flynn team is going to have to appeal. I heard that a similar judicial ploy was recently overturned by SCOTUS. (More money!)
