It's not just progressives. I've been frustrated watching this as well. A great many college students didn't get a stimulus check because parents still claimed them but the parent got no extra money yet the students lost jobs and couldn't qualify for unemployment.

I've been fortunate enough to be able to help someone unrelated to me who fell through the virus safety net while his mother couldn't. But it isn't my responsibility and I can't replace that income forever. We all at a point of frustration right now.

This was a major miss in the first round.

The undocumented need to be left out. Democrats will define "who pay taxes" as sales taxes or some other ridiculous criteria.

They're working illegally. If it comes down to reemploying the American people or an undocumented illegal alien it goes without saying who the American gov't must prioritize.

I'm confused.. How were college students not eligible for the payments? If they were 17, they count as a dependent and parents should get the $500. For those aged 18-24, they should have gotten their own $1200. How were they possibly specifically excluded from this?

And illegal aliens shouldn't be eligible for this anyway. Let them go back to their countries and get their free$$$ from them!
