Its just the flu, bro.
Challenge is to guess where the lockdown of 2020 will eventually rank among the worst American public policy decisions/initiatives in the past 120 years. How bad will the lockdown be when viewed next to past mistakes?
My list: 1. Everything done in the Great Depression by Hoover and FDR - New Deal, Smoot Hawley, National Industrial Recovery Act(price controls) 2. Lockdown of 2020 3. LBJs Great Society 4. 90% marginal tax rates for 18 years post WW2 5. Jimmy Carters Department of Education
Obamacare didnt even make my list but it probably deserves an honorable mention though. So I have the lockdown as much worse than Obamacare.
Still watching for businesses going above and beyond the law. I am seeing it in Texas as businesses are acting stricter than that which is legally required. I guess it is a combination of virtue signaling and CYA protection against legal liability. This will continue until customers punish them for it. But customers wont punish them until they believe the Wuhan flu is no big deal. In the meantime, customers will continue to get inferior service compared to pre-Wuhan flu levels. Really hoping there will be more businesses that just say stuff it like that hairdresser in Dallas.

Ping. Freepmail Impimp to go on the ping list.
In before Kojak and hockey stick!
NOpe.
You’re welcome.
That’s still fewer than die from diabetes each year.
Perhaps we should ban sugar and flour and have each person’s diet personally monitored by mommy and daddy government?
Well well well you showed uo with under 2000 deaths
Still using media matters fed numbers are you. I have a wonderful idea. I went to DU to see what was going on over there. You fit in there sooooooo much better. You can head over there and make fun of freepers and wont it be swell!
You are a disgrace and you still are a raging wuss who never sndeee the hard questions when asked.
The real number is more like 50,000 but wuss boy from DU cant have a discussion about it. Dont accept his terms. Number is from works odometer which is corrupted data
These ‘death tolls’ are BS, anyway. They are manipulated for $$$$.
Try to get better today...Ill pray for you... 👍🇺🇸🙏
Your husband needs to take your phone away.
Do what?
“We can easily afford to even lose 300,000 old and sickly people a year. Although the number will drop YoY as we run out of old people. Completely acceptable odds for the rest of the population who will build herd immunity and go on with their lives. “
Wow, genocide is popular again? Roger Daltry sang “Hope I die before I get old” - he’s 76 now, I imagine he changed his opinion at some point.
Personally, I’d rather get rid of everyone with an IQ as low as yours.
My intent was to point out that, even if I did accept his terms, I don't accept his premise. No more than I have ever accepted the "If it saves even one child" argument for banning scary looking black guns.
Here we've banned the economic engine of everyday commerce for fear of killing grandpa, and in doing so, have condemned millions more to joblessness, suicide, drug and alcohol related deaths, and most recently, food shortages. And nobody is talking about the real food shortages in the third world. This shutdown is going to kill many millions via starvation than the disease ever would. But because they're brown and from places like Bangladesh who cares?
Kill 137 million worldwide through economic disaster to save 5 million worldwide from a nasty and unfortunate disease. Pretty stupid.
Then again, the Davos types have openly stated their preference for culling the herd.
“’If it saves even one child’ argument for banning scary looking black guns.”
I know it’s nothing to do with WuFlu, but when I read those words, it snapped me back to the (in)famous Elian Gonzales pic. The government likes using “scary looking black guns” on children — when it suits them. (FWIW)
Worse than that:
Here we’ve banned the economic engine of everyday commerce for fear of killing grandpa in NYC.
