DE PERE (WLUK) -- With the NFL releasing its schedule for the upcoming season, we now know when the Packers are supposed to be playing, but an official go ahead on fans at the games is probably still a ways off. Still, knowing what we know right now, would fans show up at Lambeau if it is allowed?
Knowing Packers fans, I’m thinking “Yes”.
Packers fans ain’t sissies!
Beers & Brats are a known antibody...
Yes. There will be plenty of discouraging fear porn, but most Americans will pickup where they left off and go live their lives.
Effing -20 blizzards doesnt scare them and this wussy virus will?
-fans entering the football stadium sign a waiver that they won't sue the team if they contract COVID19. They pay full price for tickets and food etc BUT they get a voucher entitling them to a $150 credit on their State income tax.
-fans entering the baseball stadium also sign the waiver but pay half price for the ticket and full price for food etc. but must sit 6 feet away from each other as they watch the game on the Jumbotron; no tax voucher,
-fans entering the indoor basketball venue get the same deal as those entering the baseball venue BUT they must wear masks.
Let's see just how scared people are, let the market sort it out, and generate revenue and employment as we see which venue gets more fans.
Oh, and the players will play full contact foootball.
Why on earth would I pay good money to watch the dimwitted, America hating oafs play a game? I'll watch from home if there is nothing else on.
That is just another way of paying them ... your eyeballs get rented by advertisers.
No the CDC will not allow it...they run the country...
The press will run to Dr Fauci and ask him is it safe for fans to go...
Opening the Churches would be a good start to see interest. Just open up and the healthy people can sort it out inside.
I would show up just to shock and horrify the wussified media.
There is a larger segment of the nation that will be more mindful of hygiene henceforth, but they won't wear masks.
Finally, there is a yuge segment of the nation that outnumbers the masked men, who have HAD IT with everything. They don't care if they get this or that bug - they want to be free.
how about this-if you wear a mask that's great but if you choose against it you agree not to sue if you get the bug but you get $2000 off your taxes because of the economic and employment benefits your being out and about produces.
Temp checks at gates. Perhaps other health measures. Limit attendance to those under ~65 years old - - we can watch at home this season. I’m ready for some FOOTBALL!
Every game will be standing room only (as they are probably all already sold out).
Screw that. People should refuse to attend sporting events, theaters, or anything else that requires the dehumanizing slave mask.
That assumes that I'd go out and buy something they advertise. Not happening. Madison Ave doesn't bother to target my age demographic.
Season tickets to the Packers are fought over in many families.
The company I worked for had several dozen “lifetime” season tickets to reward customer loyalty.
