I have to question the professionalism of these so-called Journalists again.
They wrote the headline as if she were peacefully manicuring someone's nails when the alligator struck.
Later you read that she pursued the alligator into waist-deep water so that she could touch it - as the homeowners screamed at her to come out of the water and leave the beast alone.

I think she’s yet another victim of the Disneyfication of wildlife.

The homeowner told deputies Covert was professional in her salon but was relaxed and excited at her home. The entire piece was written poorly.

Hard to muster sympathy for somebody that is so monumentally stupid. An absolutely avoidable death. The real question is HOW did this nitwit survive 58 years?

I have to admit, the headline first had me wondering whether the alligator was doing the homeowner’s nails.

Did she have any kids? If not, another darwin award winner. This is really incredible. I remember something like this happening with me and a moose in Alaska, but my friends that lived there told me they are very dangerous and I got back in the car.

Well. Apparently she looked like a sandwich.

No, I guess you wont.
I nominate this sentence for the famous last words Hall of Fame.

"I guess I won't do this again."That should go on the list of famous last words.
This was a horrible way to go, and I don't mean to make jest of it, but --good grief -- who pets an alligator?
To: Bon mots
AFTER doing the nails AND after being advised NOT to pet the gator.
