From what I understand, the lining of the nose is rich in ACE2 receptors, allowing the virus to dine on those cells, thus ruining your sense of smell, at least temporarily.
For now, recruits who have had covid are rejected from enlisting.
Sadly, I think it reflects the state of our country. Conservative parents raised entitled kids, and anarchist grandkids. Everything conservatives raised kids not to be. Problem is parents taught kids about tprigjts and not about responsibility.
