Knowing there was an off the shelf small molecule, tested for years in humans, that would work on CV’s.

It might be to get rid of their vote. I wonder what cities, counties and states would flip if we loose a lot of people in that group.

Why is it that older at risk right wingers are the ones being told not to wear masks because it ‘violates your freedom’.
Do you think your freedom is what matters to the people telling you this? Or do you think, maybe, they want you gone?
Initial viral load determines disease outcome. The lower the initial viral load, the more likely a mild course of disease. Masks do this. They lower the initial viral load.

Mandatory vaccination for all kids in CA? not willing to die on that hill.
Mandatory drivers licenses to drive on public roads? not willing to die on that hill.
Every gun control law since the 1930’s? not willing to die on that hill.
But masks? Sure thing, they’ll die on that hill. And I mean, literally, die on that hill.
I guarantee you that calculation HAS been done.

And yes, the early 30something we know lost a TON of weight she didn’t need to lose.
Still, over 2 months after she contracted it, hasn’t had her sense of smell or taste return. Still has to force herself to eat. Still looks like a heroin addict runway model. (can I have that w/o having the virus please?)

I’ve got an uncle (same age group) telling her the whole virus thing is a hoax. Total hoax. They’ve simply renamed the flu or the common cold. And the mask thing is just islam telling us to cover our faces.
The uncle listens to Rush, every single day.
What probably will occur is what is occurring now:
1) Orders to wear mask
2) "Mandatory" vaccination - mandatory in the sense that if you want to work, etc, you will need to show proof of vaccination. Colleges in states (Pennsylvania, New York, etc. do this now - you need to show proof of MMR vaccination if born after 1957? (I think) if you are taking 6 or more credit hours.
The same for initial meningococcal vaccination or booster dose in Texas for attending in-person College *regardless* of credit hours taken - it's required if you are younger than 22 years of age.
My guess is that many states will require SARS-CoV-2 vaccinations and will remove religious exemptions to the vaccinations, etc.

When I had kidney failure (c section gone bad), my appetite disappeared and so did my sense of taste/smell. Everything tasted metallic. Or tasted like nothing. Textbook symptom of kidney failure.
Our friend who had this and ALSO has ongoing kidney insufficiency still has no sense of taste/smell.
Maybe that symptom is related to kidney involvement?

I just find it odd that a majority of the ‘you can’t make me wear a mask, you nazi’ people are in SUPPORT of mandatory vaccination.
And they uniformly fail to see the irony of refusing a non invasive request in lieu of a mandatory invasive procedure.
