Really glad to see articles like this! I despise the Post as much as anyone, but they will reach the people who need to hear this. Sadly, I don’t think saying either “lockdowns are unconstitutional” or “ lockdowns are not needed” will have any effect on our compliant and fearful populace. The only thing that will move people is to realize the alternative is worse. Trump should have been doing this all along.

The kids at home now are at home a good part of the day, every day, school or not, anyway.
And we know “child abuse” can be anything anymore from raising your voice to denying a child cookies before dinner.

Agreed. Can’t teachers and concerned family members ask police to do a welfare check, though? I’m willing to bet that cops would be more willing to do that than ticket people for not wearing masks or congregating in large groups.
I also think LEO’s need a bit more training when it comes to recognizing the signs of child abuse. Abuse in general, actually. At least an LEO can request that a social worker follow up, because their word has some influence between agencies as opposed to a family member.
It doesn’t help that the child welfare system is seriously overburdened already and some of the staff is totally apathetic to what they see and hear, on top of a portion of those being corrupt.
