The White House has told government agencies to start preparing for the transition should Donald Trump lose to Joe Biden in November as Democrats worry the president won't cooperate with a handover should one become necessary.
Russell Vought, acting director of the White House's Office of Management and Budget, issued a memo on Monday ordering 20 different agencies to appoint a transition director by Friday, in accordance with the Presidential Transition Act.
Each agency's director will make up the Agency Transition Directors Council, which will meet on May 27, Vought wrote.

What did they think he was going to do?
1) Throw his 32 ounce glass of Chivas at the wall.
2) Continue getting crocked.
3) Ask how this could possibly happen? I mean the polls all showed...
4) Blame everybody else.
5) Refuse to accept the election results.
6) Go around for the next four years b***hing about how he should have won the election.

They can, but Trump is in favor of the shut down and is letting the governors go way beyond their mandates and gi ing them no encouragement on opening up. His attack on Kemp was insane. I know they have political animosities, but Kemp did the right thing by opening up. (Even so, its very restricted.)
A positive sign I saw was that Barr appointed civil rights enforcement people today to look into violations of rights by the (mostly but not all) Dem governors.
But Trump has got to be more forceful. Leaving it up to a bunch of Dem governors...without restrictions - was a big mistake,
He knocked himself out providing everything they said they wanted (even though they didn’t need it or if they did it was because if their own ineptitude) and now he has got to get the country running again. That’s what he’ll be judged on, and why people will or will not vote for him. He looks like a wuss right now, frankly.
This comes out of an amendment of the Presidential Transition Act of 1963 that was passed in 2016. Obama got his transition team going in March, 2016:
“...Congress has now passed two new laws codifying the responsibilities of the Obama administration to prepare the government for new leadership. In March, Obama signed legislation requiring the government to set up transition councils, identify agency leaders responsible for transition planning, and to make sure that career civil servants are ready to step in for the hundreds of political appointees who are expected to leave the government before the First Family does.”
(Of course, Obama was at the same time treasonously doing the most to sabotage an incoming candidate/president ever done in history.)

They are supposed to have plans in place for any transition of power. Death, illness, elections, or what ever. If they weren’t doing this, the article would say, ‘Trump is planning on staying in office for ever. No plans for peaceful transition.’

I was going to write, If Biden wins, God Help us. But on second thought, no don’t. If the people of the United States are stupid enough to put a crook like Biden in the White House they deserve what he does to them. I don’t doubt for a second that it can’t be done. With the idiot vote, the fool vote and some vote fraud, he is in. To me a Democrat in the White House is a hell uv of lot more scary and frightening than a virus.
