Dr. Amie Harwick, who was 38, died on Feb. 15 after she was thrown over the third-floor balcony of her Hollywood Hills apartment, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said. An autopsy determined she had been strangled first.

I would support death penalty for somebody who committed such a crime...Hanging is a correct way to deal with some killer like that..

But, I guess Drew Carey does not feel that away... I have been watching his game show regularly because of the shutdown...His game show is fun to watch...

Maybe Drew is following Christ and forgiving. That doesn’t mean forgetting and embracing the guy. But it does release your heart from hatred.

Note to self: Do not derive rules of justice from the opinions of game show hosts/comedians, no matter how much you may like them.

I don’t forgive predators. We need to cull predators from society. They cannot be left to harm us, regardless of their reason.

Hey, if Drew Carey wants to forgive the murderer as part of his personal way of dealing with it, that’s fine with me. Grieving is a personal thing, and if that’s how he rolls, who are we to argue?

Just as long as the “real” justice system sees that the guy spends the rest of his life as a guest of the California Penal System. Then again, the trial is in LA, so he could end up with a 6 month sentence as a pot farmer, assuming he’s even convicted.

Unfortunately all this abusive childhood, boohoo forgiveness crap results in toleration of murder and hideous crimes, lighter sentences, and more victims. Most criminals are mentally ill, and got that way somehow. Individuals likely benefit from letting go rather than burning themselves up with anger that can never be resolved. It’s “society’s” job to identify evil and destroy it.

Used to like Drew Carey until he came to our city for a “show “....filthy mouth...changed our total picture of him. Don’t understand why comedians think they have to lower themselves to that.

Drew Carey has mastered the art of forgiveness.

I don’t believe in “forgiveness” except when it follows retribution.

Funny, I was always taught that one could not grant forgiveness unless and until the perpetrator had asked for it.

Has the perpetrator repented and asked for forgiveness? If not, “forgiveness” is a non-transaction. Even God does not forgive unless/until the sinner repents in sincere and grieving faith. Otherwise The Mighty God’s wrath toward the sinner remains and smoulders in righteous agonizing fire throughout eternity. There is a point of no return for the perpetrator.

So if you are mistreated as a child, it’s okay to murder somebody later on in life... I don’t think so Drew.

He’s obviously a man who believes in God and while forgiving is good and we should forgive those who trespass against us, we can do it just as easily after their dead, as we can while they’re alive.

An eye for an eye... A life for a life.

“I would support death penalty for somebody who committed such a crime.”

Positively, even for the criminally insane.

Forgiveness is not for the benefit of the transgressor. It is for the benefit of the person who forgives. It frees them from harmful emotions that eat away at them when they don’t forgive. It does not remove grief or pain of loss or betrayal.

Forgiveness is distinct from justice and does not remove the responsibility to atone for the act from the transgressor.

The person can be let go from living in your head with forgiveness! Who would want the actions of a vile person living on in their head?

As a Christian I support Drew in forgiveness. It does not mean that wouldn’t support a death penalty for a murderer. It galls me that the Dem governors are letting murderers out to do it again.

There’s no almost death penalty, very little justice in our courts, and they want to disarm us so we can have this happen more often. What’s to forgive?

Forgiving does not mean that you do not want to see a murderer punished. It just means that you do not poison your own soul with hatred.

Forgiving someone of something like that, and seeing that this person never kills again are two different topics.

I’ve become convinced there are some people who need killing. People who should not be born.

However, when you invest the State with the power to kill, it makes the argument for a fundamental right to life hollow.

I don’t think abortion should be legal, period. I do believe in an INDIVIDUAL right to self-defense. There is justifiable homicide. There is also righteous war.

It’s a complex question, I guess.
