I remember reading something where China sending out a message to their citizens to start prepping for food shortages last month.
Should we be restocking our prepping supplies not rely on the things to open up again?
I think I’ll put a couple of deer in my freezers.
We already have meat supp;y shortages.
China can’t feed her people!
The Chinese I know are all preppers. They have their freezers full of fish and meat and garages full with cereals and canned stuff.
It’s kind of ironic. We sign a trade deal requiring them to purchase more of our meat and I’m guessing we are a few days away from everyone on this site demanding a moratorium on meat exports.
After reading about the sanitary conditions at the packing companies, staffed with thousand of illegal workers, we should sell China all the meat processed before these places were closed.
And well be the ones facing the shortages.
A friend knows someone who has a beef herd and has been told by NYS they have to reduce the size of their herd by a certain percentage or they would be fined.
And this with a looming beef shortage in this country.
The left WANTS to create food shortages. People free to grow their own cannot be controlled.
The best way to control the populace is to control their food supply.
Stick a 500 percent premium on it.
As with oil, let’s keep it cheap and plentiful for Americans before sending anything outside our borders.
Now I think we’re getting close o where food prices will rise, because demand will increase.
I think everyone in the world will be stockpiling food. This and the UN’s warning about governments not preventing protests and limiting freedoms suggests that there will be a lot more people planning on prepping months of supply.
I’m thinking we need to re-examine meat exports. We may end up with a shortage ourselves.
I have been hearing about food shortages coming in the next few weeks to months. WHO announced last week food shortages would be happening as well.

Instead of Coronavirus, the Hunger Will Kill Us. A Global Food Crisis Looms.
The coronavirus has sometimes been called an equalizer because it has sickened both rich and poor, but when it comes to food, the commonality ends. It is poor people, including large segments of poorer nations, who are now going hungry and facing the prospect of starving.
The coronavirus has been anything but a great equalizer, said Asha Jaffar, a volunteer who brought food to families in the Nairobi slum of Kibera after the fatal stampede. Its been the great revealer, pulling the curtain back on the class divide and exposing how deeply unequal this country is.
Already, 135 million people had been facing acute food shortages, but now with the pandemic, 130 million more could go hungry in 2020, said Arif Husain, chief economist at the World Food Program, a United Nations agency. Altogether, an estimated 265 million people could be pushed to the brink of starvation by years end.
Why would we want to sell them any food?
A different kind of quid pro quo...
Let those flaming @ssholes eat bats and keep our beef here....
Just like their pal Bill Gates (buying up farmland from coast-to-coast), the ChiComs want to control our food...

Why are we selling ANYTHING to this country....a country that unleashed a horrid disease on the world, bought up all of the needed PPE, won’t release proved meds to treat said horrid disease and is now closing their US meat packing plants, because of *infected workers*, from this disease?
How does this even happen?
Cut them off from the beef but let them have the soy beans.
