A true Story from an Irish Sunday School Teacher.
I was testing children in my Dublin Sunday school class to see if they understood the concept of getting to heaven.
'I asked them, ' If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale and gave all my money to the church, would that get me into heaven?'
'NO!' the children answered.
'If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the garden, and kept everything tidy, would that get me into heaven?'
Again, the answer was 'NO!'
'If I gave sweets to all the children, and loved my husband, would that get me into heaven?'
Again, they all answered 'NO!'
I was just bursting with pride for them. I continued, 'Then how can I get into heaven?'
A little boy shouted out: 'YUV GOTTA BE FOOKN' DEAD.'
It's a curious race, the Irish.
Brings a tear to the eye, doesn't it?
My great-great-granddad Andrew appears to have migrated to this country during the potato famine.
;). Thanks for the chuckle!
The correct answer is you head due west. America is Tir a Na Nog , Heaven on Earth for all of us of Irish descent.
You turn East at the Bridge of Finea and stop when you’re halfway to Cootehill ...
No lie:
Drove by a church near Chambersburg, PA the other day. The sign out front, you know, the one that has funny sayings like - The only thing missing from chrch is u -
I swear it said:
The quickest way to the top is on your knees
The Irish have a particular point of view; the Poles have another:
In heaven there is no beer
(No beer)
That’s why we drink it here
And when we’re all gone from here
Our friends will be drinking all the beer
(see Frankie Yankovic for the tune that goes along with the above)
The quickest way to the top is on your knees

Double entendre, eh?
Who every thought Ireland would approve of abortion and homosexual apostasizing of marriage ?

Whoever thought the Catholic Church would conduct a Vatican Council the purpose of which was to DESTROY the bedrock teachings of two thousand years of the Christian faith? Well it did from 1962 to 1965, and what has happened in Ireland and around the world is the hideous result of the Council’s success!
Worked for Kamala Harris.
No, the apostasy mentioned is the fault of the current generations of the Irish themselves. American Christians are closing in on the precipice of the same apostasy.
