The left is using Wuhan Flu as a pretext for socialism. The mantra this time is “we must save people’s lives”. The most recent pretext for socialism before this one is global warming. With global warming the pretext is that “we must save the planet”. In either case, the validity of the pretext is irrelevant. What matters is the effectiveness at tugging at people‘s heartstrings.
With both Global warming and Wuhan flu the call is for massive government expenditures and increased control over people’s lives. The disaster with Wuhan flu is that people believe they are doing good by hiding in their homes or snitching on people who play at parks. This is the same idiotic mentality that people have when they think they can lower the sea levels using a paper grocery bag instead of a plastic grocery bag.
As you can see John Kerry is 100% correct - there are massive parallels between global warming and Wuhan Flu. Both are complete BS with a cure way worse than an exaggerated disease.

I have a deep respect for Nautinurse — reasonable people can reasonably disagree. What I find unreasonable is people who proffer data with no interpretation, ability to analyze, and cannot defend a critique.

I agree the data are becoming decreasingly reliable. The data are inconsistent from multiple sources. It will take a long time to sort through the stats. As I have said for months, there were an extraordinary number of respiratory illnesses this year which tested negative for influenza. These cases coincided with unavailable CoV testing. We saw more influenza and Strep pharyngitis combos than ever. It has been a strange season.
As for face masks--when people wear them, they should not be shamed for this. They may have an immune problem and/or someone at home who is at high risk. I see them as trying to be self-sufficient and productive. When you see someone wearing a mask, give them a wide berth and an iota of social respect. It really isn't harming you when someone wears a face mask.
I look forward to getting our economy back on track immediately, if not sooner.

Crackpots like to look at pics of wrist watches and dive deep into the meaning of the time that's displayed. Wall art in pictures triggers them also. All this while the left moves steadily to steal the election from DJT and the American people. To say they're useless is an understatement.
I think full delusional comes before crackpot on the spectrum.
