A technique that zaps airborne viruses with a narrow-wavelength band of UV light shows promise for curtailing the person-to-person spread of COVID-19 in indoor public places.
The technology, developed by Columbia University’s Center for Radiological Research, uses lamps that emit continuous, low doses of a particular wavelength of ultraviolent light, known as far-UVC, which can kill viruses and bacteria without harming human skin, eyes and other tissues, as is the problem with conventional UV light.
“Far-UVC light has the potential to be a ‘game changer,’” said David Brenner, professor of radiation biophysics and director of the center. “It can be safely used in occupied public spaces, and it kills pathogens in the air before we can breathe them in.”
The research team’s experiments have shown far-UVC effective in eradicating two types of airborne seasonal coronaviruses (the ones that cause coughs and colds). The researchers are now testing the light against the SARS-CoV-2 virus at Columbia in a biosafety laboratory, with encouraging results, Brenner said.

My initial thought was ECMO and UV but then I remembered using the Laser in the OR. Tissue is NOT transparent to UV light. In fact, I knew a Brain Surgeon who made an entire career out of studying the interaction of brain tissue and light. Funded generously by the people who make lasers. Laser light won’t penetrate more than a fraction of a millimeter which sort of makes it ideal for limiting the trauma to the surface.
Now light in the far UV is different but now we know there is a machine from the pre antibiotic era to do just what Trump suggested and IT WORKS Trump is out of the woods here.
There is a different technology that’s been around for decades, we were trying to apply it in some way at one time so I remember visiting a lab where they were doing it. Interesting stuff, I doubt it could be scaled up.

Reading. Yeah. He probably stays up all night researching ideas. Something else that makes sense was after Dr. Luc Montagnier suggested there were HIV and a Malaria sequences in Wuhan-Hu-1 the idea of Hydroxychloroquine made perfect sense for that aspect of it. How did he know? He knows a lot more than than we do about the truth of this, that’s for sure.

I read about this before and think that this can be a real growth field, supplying those who think it is worth it and have the money.
