Tom Brady is still finding his way around Tampa Bay. It must be hard to leave home after 20 years.
The new Buccaneers quarterback on Thursday acknowledged a report that he accidentally entered the wrong house earlier this month. Brady thought he'd arrived at the residence of Tampa Bay offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich but instead went next door to Leftwich's neighbor's, per TMZ.
Tampa resident David Kramer told TMZ that Brady walked right through his front door holding duffel bags before realizing he was in the wrong place.
"I literally was just sitting here and I watch this tall guy just walk into my house," Kramer said. "... He didn't even look at me. He just like dropped his duffel bags down on the floor and just kind of like looked up at me and I'll never forget the look on his face.
"He just goes, 'Am I in the wrong house?!'"
Brady quickly apologized upon learning the mistake and left with a smile, Kramer said.
Earlier this week, Brady was asked to leave a local park in the midst of a workout because it was closed. The six-time Super Bowl champion has since expressed a good sense of humor over his humbling start to life outside of New England.
"Trespassing in parks, breaking and entering... Just making myself at home in Tompa Bay!"
I’ve stuck a key in the wrong car before. I was trying to unlock an identical make, model and color in the parking lot when I noticed the seat colors were different. Oops. Looked around hoping the real owner wasn’t walking toward the car.
“Kramer, who’s got a side hustle as a comedian”
can thank Tom Brady for the new material for his act. lol
I was hitchhiking in 1971 in Liberty Missouri headed home. It was two days before Christmas I was in Dress Blues and a beautiful girl in a Volkswagen u-turned in an intersection and gave me a ride clear around KC to interstate 29. She asked me if I could hang around a day or two. Like the dummy I am I declined. Regrets last forever. Unlike our youth.
Didn’t David Carradine do something like that back in the days when he was playing a Kung Fu master? I think he wound up in somebody’s house, and testified after trashing it, “I found myself in a strange place”.
“Obviously not a football fan. You could have at least gotten an autograph for the trouble......”
He lives next door to the TB offensive coordinator.
If he’s stupid enough to leave his front door open, he probably wouldn’t have a loaded gun lying around either
I’m a real estate agent who deals exclusively with apartment buildings..... I’ve accidentally tried to open the wrong apartment door many times over the years
He's not one I would shoot....
In the 70s the rock-band Aerosmith (all of them) walked into out teenage clubhouse outside of Boston looking for some substances they believed we had.
To say that we were shocked is an understatement.
“That you, Too Tall?”
Unless he was watching TV, with a 12ga nearby.
That could have ended tragically for poor Tom, in the land of concealed carry and stand your ground. It would have made for some interesting international headlines and police investigations.
Tom is in Florida now. He better be more careful in the future.
Never heard of that fella.
Is he famous too?
Like Brady?
There is autographs and then there is autographs.
Gotta keep your doors locked, sir.
Well, hell, I’d have invited him in, and thrown some steaks on the grill and had a keg delivered. Might as well be neighborly.
Well, I’m a ‘Skins fan, but I’d have invited Dak Prescott in if he got lost. ‘Course, I’d have to e-mail Ron Rivera everything that came out of his mouth, so I’d have a BIG keg on the patio. LOL
And your handle is Viking2002?! Well, you have great taste in enemies. I have no use for the 49ers, Patriots or Steelers, but I have always despised the Cowboys and their fans the most.
Whenever I hear a Cowboy fan talk about the team’s historical performance, I walk them back to the beginning, when they were a mere expansion team put in place to stop the AFL Dallas Texans from taking hold. And now those Texans are world champions.
Understand that I grew up in the mountains of the MD panhandle, equidistant from the Steelers (my late dad’s team), the Baltimore Colts (Ravens, as of late), and the ‘Skins. Back in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80s, pick one, it’s just a two hour drive to any of their stadiums. As a kid, I became a fan of the ‘Skins the year they went to Super Bowl VII, and pitched a fit when the Dolphins beat them. *chuckle*
