This nation was totally shut down for ONE reason. That is what we were told at the time. That reason was to "flatten the curve", meaning to enable time for our medical capabilities to catch up with the need for treatment. There is ample evidence that even in our worst hit area of New York City that this in fact has been accomplished. The USS Comfort, provided as an overflow hospital option to the city in the heat of the battle, has been sent packing and according to New York is no longer needed.
Across the country, hospitals have plenty of ventilators available and beds to treat those who are infected. We also have found the drugs that provide treatment for the infected to the degree that most who catch the virus will be cured in less than a week.
The goal originally presented to this nation has been accomplished. Now they want to shift the goal post by using the issue of "testing" to keep this nation shackled. Baloney. Set us free Mr Trump. If not, you will lose many of us for continuing this unnecessary charade at our nation's expense.
That this virus was politicized by the left does not mean that THEY get to control it's response forever. Trump was backed into a corner with this and has played along but now he needs to do the right thing for the people of this nation. End the shutdown. There has been enough carnage. He has a limited window of opportunity to do so himself and be given the credit for doing so before the masses themselves simply disregard their government, including him, in ALL facets.
So what? The governor can do what he wants and Trump can say what he wants. Trump’s disagreement has no power over Kemp.
The entire government, including Trump, is overstepping the Constitutional authority vested in them. Trump is a President. I have my own family doctor. We didn’t elect trump to be our doctor or to authorize the scarf lady and shorty pants to be our family doctors either. The governors are acting like little dictators too. At some point their actions will lose many of us and we will no longer respect their authority. I had my own parents. I didn’t elect anyone to act as my parents. The Constitution didn’t give them parental authority over anyone. A free people can protect themselves.

The people vote for other people to run the Government, the Government has obligation(s) to all of the people of our Country. One of the obligations is Safety for all Americans.

That whole situation is likely to be moot because Georgia simply isn’t going to have business establishments open uniformly. Atlanta is going to be messy for a while no matter what the governor says.

What governor is going to want to take steps to open his economy if he risks being publicly called out by Trump?
I’m not sure Biden, if President, would have said anything different about Georgia than Trump said today. “Basically, we want things to open up eventually, but it’s too soon”. For how many more months is it going to be “too soon”?

Kinda weird to make an assertion then refuse to provide a fuller explanation. Wasn’t his whole point to express an idea? He should be glad someone is interested enough to inquire further. Doesn’t make sense for someone to avoid a topic they brought up.
Democratic governors have been openly defying Trump for more than three years now. I’m sure these GOP governors are all adults and will be fine. Some governors never shut their states down at all. Did Trump criticize them?

I answered it but here's another try. It's getting to the "them" or "us" stage really fast over this shit. When the dam breaks, EVERYONE considered to be on the "them" side of the fence is done for. Nobody will listen to anything they say or follow any of their dictates. Trump currently has aligned himself on the "Them" side of the fence by allowing scarf lady and shorty pants to dictate his actions. Well, thanks to the constantly shifting model forecast, the scarf lady and shorty pants have lost about all of the credibility they might have once had. Right now, because of the daily briefings where he is seen with them Trump is seen as part of their tag team effort to continue this crap beyond need. He has a choice to make before it's made by the citizens themselves. He can choose to continue acting as if he's our family doctor or he can choose to act like he's our President. For the record, we elected him to be our President.
