Here's how to make an expert-approved, do-it-yourself (DIY) face mask to limit the spread of coronavirus and protect yourself from Covid-19.
* snip *
First, fold a paper towel in half, White explains. Next, fold it like an accordion from side to side (see photos). Make a small fold at both ends of the paper towel where the rubber bands will be placed. Insert runner bands behind the fold and staple them in place at both ends.
Another plus: Its disposable.

Or my own little exercise in creativity .... right? :-)
Right. But the paper masks described in the article are disposable. Use them once, then throw them away. I wonder how Greta Thunberg feels about all that waste.
Ditto.
Cheers!
(Well, I don’t always have my tonic with gin. Only about 1/week.)
Have been having a tonic, with a twist of lime, every night.
I will not wear a face burka.
Here’s what I discovered today: My blue mask was comfortable and wide, but kept falling off as it just had strings that go behind the ears. My surgical mask had rubber bands but was little and uncomfortable.
Solution: Put blue mask on first, then the surgical mask over it to hold it in place. Comfortable, snug, and secure. It probably looks a little weird but it works.
I will not wear a face burka.
BOO! wonder how long the mask rules would be in effect if these were worn in public.
And NO, I’m not going to try and find out.

“Please be sure and clean these daily. Otherwise all you do is carry around lots of crap”
Hey! A light bulb came on. After you’re done with it on your face you can wipe your ass with it.
I was at Menards last week and I saw a guy get out of his pickup and put on a full face motorcycle helmet. I chuckled.
LOL!
WHICH is RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR NOSE!!!
Yep. But who thinks of THIS?
Yikes. He does not need those noodles. Just looking at him makes you want to stay at least 6 feet away.
Love it! Thanks so much.
I made a stack of masks, out of quilting fabric I had....brights, florals, gray paisley, etc.
I saw that bandana mask, with the coffee filter. Very creative.
Sent the pics, on how to make, to friends.
Yours sound lovely. Mine was copied from a tweet of James Woods.
