We understand you may have questions about these medications. While President Trump has in the past said we should be rolling out these medications, they aren't readily available for our patients. Cuomo's executive order stipulates that no pharmacy may dispense hydroxychloroquine for anything other than an FDA approved indication outside of a hospital or clinical trial. At the present time, COVID-19 is not an FDA approved indication for this drug. Even if our providers wrote the script, the pharmacy would not fill it. It's reserved for hospitals/clinical trials. I hope this helps. The future will bring vaccines, treatments, and enhanced rapid testing for this disease. We remain hopeful.

Gee. Pretty clear explanation: Cuomo hates Trump, and is determined that NOTHING Trump has said or ever done or recommends will be permitted.
Seems like a measured and reasonable response.
Having said that, I live in NY and one thing health-care, police, and any government bureaucrat are really good at is statist bureaucracy, and telling you how/why you CAN’T do something.
It must be comforting to live in a state whose governor is so well-versed in medical treatment of the Wuhan China virus that he directs which treatments doctors can prescribe to his state’s citizens. You must feel blessed.

A couple weeks ago I pinged an online doc service just to see what would happen. Same response. Reading between the lines, the docs don’t like it, but their hands are tied. (Even though on the side they probably have created or are already using their own private stash.)

Imagine for a moment if the roles were reversed- and, God forbid, cumo was president and Trump was gov of NY as a republican, and Trump refused to allow HCQ and 20,000 or so folks in NY died as a result- Trump would have lost his job long before now and would be facing charges-
But because cumo is running NY, the msm are silent about 20,000 people dying as a direct result of the heinous EO that forbids pharmacists from filling the orders-

It was reported by another FReeper that Andy told Hannity during last week’s radio interview that doctors were now able to prescribe HCQ.
Its time to hold them liable for as co-conspiritors in murder. There is no reason to ban a proven safe drug that works.

I have become familiar with BHT over thirty years ago and have been using it off and on when some flu virus was on the lose, with good luck. What you see in this YouTube movie clip pretty well mirrors my experience. It may not be perfect, but neither are vaccines but it may help and fill in until someone comes up with the proper vaccine.

Although I live in NY, MY hospital is in Pennsylvania. My clinic (a fully staffed medical facility) is here in NY where I go to the doctor. They are directly affiliated with the major hospital in Pennsylvania. It is the CLOSEST MAJOR hospital in my area. Our local hospital is a community hospital.
Were myself or my wife to get COVID-19 we would travel the 38.8 miles to be treated in Pennsylvania, as we already do for anything important.

In response to COVID-19 and potential shortages of medications that may be effective against the virus such as hydroxychloroquine, pharmacists should verify the patient is confirmed COVID-19 positive before dispensing. Patients established on therapy or utilizing the medication for other diagnoses (e.g. Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis) should be able to continue to access without diagnosis verification. Smaller quantities of hydroxychloroquine should be dispensed to COVID-19 patients when appropriate to prevent potential shortages.

In suburban Chicago (RED areas), a local hospital is routinely prescribing HCQ and ZPAC to patients - with a very successful recovery rate. Big Pharma “hates” it when a cheap drug can be used for this type of widespread Pandemic. There seems to be no concern for the supply chain. Pritzker still poo-poos the idea.

Nonetheless, it is possible to order this from a pharmacy in Canada or India. They will ship you both hydroxychloroquine and azythromyacin. Follow the protocol along with zinc vitamins. Go sit in the sun, if the weather is nice.
