We are seeing a massive backlash against the coronavirus lockdowns all over the United States, and it is likely that the protests against these lockdowns will only intensify in the days ahead.
But some elected officials are doubling down and are insisting that “shelter-in-place” orders will remain in effect in their jurisdictions for quite a few months to come.
I honestly do not know how that is possibly going to work, because after just a few weeks millions upon millions of Americans have become deeply frustrated with these lockdowns.
Trying to confine people to their homes for the foreseeable future is likely to spark tremendous explosions of anger, but that appears to be exactly what authorities intend to do in some of our largest urban areas.
For example, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio just told Fox News that he expects his city will be shut down until July or August…
Does he honestly believe that New York City residents will put up with being confined to their homes for another three or four months?
Over on the west coast, California Governor Gavin Newsom recently told the press that there probably will not be mass gatherings in his state “until we get to herd immunity and we get to a vaccine”…
It is exceedingly unlikely that we will get to the point of “herd immunity” in the United States this year, and most experts do not anticipate a vaccine until some time in 2021.
Would he really try to keep his state locked down for that long?
L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti appears to be on the exact same page, and he has already pretty much ruled out all large gatherings in his city “until 2021”…

Good. Us too.
Next year? Ha! My lockdown is basically over. I’m only teleworking because that’s the only option I have with my company right now. By mid May I expect businesses to start reopening. Maybe with some social distancing guidelines for the hand-wringers out there. But by then the little fascists will no-longer be able to hide the true nature of the virus - how widespread it actually is and how little of a threat it actually is. Time to get back to normal.
People will ignore it. Already in my area people are going out and about and a few businesses open. Americans are sick of it.
If our tin horn tyrant governors continue these lockdowns into May, I expect there will be many businesses that will reopen despite the Governors fiat. This could produce some serious confrontations if law enforcement is sent to close the businesses. Some law enforcement agencies may simply refuse to get involved and those that do will likely meet some angry reactions. Videos of a pizza shop owner being lead off in handcuffs for simply because he wanted to make a living will not play well and could inflame public sentiment. I look for growing protests in states like Michigan and a swarm of recall petitions for governors in several states. Maybe a revolution is brewing.
The Chinese spread the Kung Flu around the world.
I believe most all people have the virus. They never showed symptoms or figured they caught a common cold
Sadly, for reasons not understood, a very small % number died.
Those with immunity are not taking a risk.
Those who won the negative lottery face a tough future
The best thing to stop our internal Communists is for the Twitter and the media to publicize all the partying and fun people are having in other States that are free of the shackles.
That will put the pressure on those Governor who think they are masters of their universe. And they better watch out for bricks being lobbed through windows.
Let’s apply some consistent standards. (Like with HCQ)
Have there been ANY clinical trials on the efficacy of lock downs?
Lock downs have already shown they are NOT 100% effective.
So far it’s just anecdotal evidence and speculation.
Merely pointed out we have plenty of idiots around us who would be the ones to start new blips in the cases and that before too long, this will be no different than a Flu season - those who have reason to be afraid will take notice but most folks won't give it half a thought.
The food production people have never quit.
